I loved our stay at the Jazz on the Park Hostel. I will definitely stay there again! There is no laundry or breakfast or anything on site but there is a laundry facility nearby, subway access nearby, everything is super close - only a few steps from the middle of Central Park. I'd stay here again for sure! Highly recommend.

Very nice staff and a real ritzy neighborhood. But the room only has one plug, kind of a crap bed and a lot of flies.

Updated private room with AC. A bit snug but quiet and clean. No internet in the room which was disappointing. Also bathrooms need work: Badly designed sink and water bugs in mens shower. Good location near train and Central Park. Helpful Staff. All in all a 4 out of 5.

it was my first time in hostel. traveling with my wife only meant I needed to have private bathroom as she will not share. unfortunately my wife is an executive in housekeeping and bells and whistles went off making my stay with her not easy.

Well located, close to subway and central park. This place has missed the "hostel spirit". Gloomy common room. Filthy bedrooms, dirty bathrooms : soils and walls are greasy and sticky. No towels provided. Waterbottles 2 dollar for 500ml, and 5 dollar to keep a bag after checkout. This is a shame !!! Very noisy outdoors, no window isolation. I will come back to NY, but not in this place.

We booked a private room and two people entered our room in the middle of the night, the front desk assigned them our room while we were there. This happened twice during the night, then at 1AM, someone from the front desk woke us up to ask us whether we had a reservation. This experience was the worst I’ve ever had, not to mention that I was freaking out at night thinking someone may again enter our room. This could’ve been dangerous, something could be happened to us or our stuff may have been stolen.

Il n'y avait pas de couverture fourni avec le lit, seulement le drap. De plus, il fallait payer un surplus pour avoir une serviette. Enfin, la poignée de notre porte de chambre était brisée et nous avons donc été enfermées dedans.

Smerigste youth-hostel ever

Ontzettend smerig en vervuild hotel. De douches en toiletten worden niet schoongemaakt en onverschillige medewerkers. De restaurant-ruimte/eetruimte is smerig en er ontbreekt bijvoobeeld bekers voor de koffie. Een koffiezetapparaat staat aan, maar is leeg omdat het niemand interresseert. Heb er 3 nachten geslapen, vandaar dat ik doit durf te stellen. Erg jammer.

Bra läge men smutsigt

Eftersom det var ett hostel så var förväntningarna därefter. Tyvärr var det väldigt smutsigt i både rum och dusch/badrum, äckligt. Sköna sängar och trevligt att damerna hade en egen våning. Skulle städningen/skicket varit bättre så hade det varit riktigt bra. Bra läge precis vid parken och nära tunnelbanan.

El lugar se encuentra muy bien ubicado, en un lugar tranquilo cerca del Central Park y cerca de dos estaciones del metro. La atención muy buena, los chicos de la recepción muy atentos. No obstante, el lugar es bastante viejo y se encuentra deteriorado, el cuarto se entregó limpio pero los baños los aseaban no muy frecuente. La cocina tenía una cafetera pero no siempre estaba cargada con agua, los demás implementos no se veían en buen estado. La cama estaba cómoda. En general un lugar para pasar apenas unas pocas noches.

Dirty linens, no private showers

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience called for one. Had some issues during check-in where they couldn't confirm my pre-paid stay. Once we finally got our keys we walked up four flights of stairs through a key-activated door to our private bunk room. Look, you're paying a lower rate than most stays in NYC, so don't expect a large, updated room, or a private bathroom and showers (just a curtain between stalls.) Location is a saving grace: close to metro stations and half a block from northwest Central Park But, the mattress covers and the bed spreads provided were filthy and stained. We had to go buy bedding from Target just to sleep through the night and still felt gross.

Hostel review

The bunk beds were as expected- not super comfy nor terrible. But the floor was very busy all night which was surprising for us. Doors were opening and closing and there were people talking all night long as well

Think twice using this facility

No light in the room, stale smoke smell all over room ( advertise themself as non smoking facility), out of five sinks only one had only cold water, no hot water at all, there was no heat in the room, the temperature was 62 Fahrenheit, no toilet paper in restroom, restrooms did not lock ( locks were broken), only advantage Central Park was very close to go for morning walk, was overcharged by hotel.com for about 150$, and did not want to return the money
