Great stay! We really enjoyed being able to bring our dog on vacation. We were hopeful for more swim-able water off the dock, but it was a great fishing spot.

Great Getaway

Communication was great, and she was unbelievably accommodating given our circumstances. My kids had to drive up from Ohio to say goodbye to their Grandma, who was on hospice, and she was really flexible on our checkout time, which was greatly appreciated.

Clean and charming cottage in peaceful location. The cottage was stocked well with all necessities plus some games and puzzles. We had a lovely stay.

Katie our host was delightful to work with. She answered all of our questions promptly. The house was clean and cute. The second bedroom with the full/twin combo was small. Our parents had the king bedroom and my husband and I used the full bed. The bed was ok. We would have preferred a thicker mattress.The cottage was clean and welcoming, albeit a bit small, but met our needs. We were pleased to see a k-cup coffee machine, toaster, pots/pans, cabinets full of dishes and staple spices. The one item we couldn’t find was a spatula for the grill. We brought our fishing boat and use the Croton boat launch by the dam/consumers energy park. It was so wonderful to have access to a dock at the cottage to make fishing more accessible. There are plenty of chairs for sitting in the yard and soaking up the sunshine. The parking is tight and we had a good laugh trying to get the truck and boat trailer into the driveway! Plus a second car made for a tight squeeze. Our dog loved the boat docks and backyard.All in all it was a delightful stay. My 4 stars is a reflection of the full bed needing an upgrade to a bigger mattress and the neighborhood albeit quaint was too crowded for our taste. If you’re a family with younger children, this would be a great getaway!Bonus! We found a baby turtle and put him back on a lily pad.
