Fairmont Nice hotels

"This place really needs to be updated. The hotel is very old and weathered. For the price, I feel like it would benefit by being updated. We left really early in the morning fore check out and we couldn't figure out how to get out of the hotel. We were looking around and the front staff was sleeping in another part of the lobby in the dark room so we didn't see him. Then he said, well you should have called out for me. But we were talking at normal volume and he was not too far but didn't hear us. So he blamed him sleeping on us not looking harder for him or yelling out to him. That was not a good experience. Overall, would not stay again."

"This hotel was wonderful! The first thing I want to address is how friendly and accommodating the staff was. Including the bar staff! The location was perfect, very central to everything. My downside to this hotel was the noise- it was very loud til about 1am every night but I guess that is the price you pay for having a central location. The rooms were not that clean, for example, the crumbs on the carpet stayed for days til we said something about it, and there was some sort of chocolate stains on the walls that were not taken care of upon checking into the room and the extension of our entire stay. The rooms on the left side (level 3) where we stayed were not updated. No USB plug ins and no smart tv so come prepared with wall chargers. I checked into a different room (level 5) where I was told the rooms were newly renovated and I had better soaps, a USB plug in next to the bed and a smart tv with English channels. Overall I had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to anyone and would absolutely come back. Would love to see my bartender friends Mohammed and Diana again! "

"Chambre vue sur la mer était magnifique. Toutefois en laissant les portes ouvertes le bruit de la Promenade des Anglais m'a dérangé. Une fois les portes fermées le silence est parfait. Petit déjeuner délicieux et assez complet. Proximité du vieux Nice est un point très positif. Je recommande."

"Slow check in ancross all desks. Left/checked luggage took a long time. No bellman to do this slowed the whole process down. Very few staff at lobby bar."

"Excellent location. We stayed in the Junior suite and this had a wonderful view and balcony over the Promenade. Room was very good as was breakfast and the service. Hotel itself was very nice - with a few nice lounges to sit in and even a 'Pool table' room. "
