"Very close to station but a 2o min walk to town! Had washer and stove in unit but didn’t use them. Need coffee in room. Need more pillows and pillow was dirty."

"The highlight of our Japan vacation. The room was vintage Japanese w/the tatami mats & in-room onsen. The food was absolutely awesome w/variety & taste that were unforgettable. The outdoor public bath was the perfect end to the day. Staff was courteous & helpful. The town was a short 5-10 minute walk. Highly recommended!!!"

"This is a large sprawling hotel with a relatively new addition block (2020) I think, in which we had a very nice room looking out onto the wide open area and above the large car and coach parking area. The Hotel appears to cater mostly to Bus tour operators with these arriving and departing daily. The staff were mostly really nice and helpful, we used the outdoor Onsen pool which was great, there were others to choose also. Didn’t have the breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment. The shuttle bus starts running to the train & bus stations at 8:00am which we found very strange, usually a hotel this size would have it running 24hrs or at least from 6am. The hotel is so large unfamiliar guests can easily get lost or not know where to find the different areas. Nice hotel and I’d stay again if ever in Takayama."

"Solid onsen option in Gero. Can be a little difficult to access on foot. Large buffets for breakfast and dinner as well as complementary beverages in the lobby and outside of the baths."

"The hotel is so welcoming. All staff are helpful and pleasant except for speaking English. The food is excellent, and the location was great. The view was I just want to bring it to my home. Overall, it was great staying."

"The gentleman who manages the property was extremely helpful and accommodating. The property is beautifully located in a place surrounded by mountains. It’s a very peaceful and serene environment where you hear the birds and water flowing at night. Very lovely stay before heading to the city. Taxi’s exist between the Hida-Osaka train station and the campsite."
