The Space:
This Sojourn is an ideal & comfortable home custom designed for a family retreat. Arrive to an expansive open living and dining area, curated to be the perfect spot to entertain and enjoy your time together. Hardwood floors throughout the first floor, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances and a fully appointed kitchen round out this tastefully designed home. This is a 4 bedroom home that comfortably entertains and sleeps 9 people. The dining table easily seats the entire family and there is additional bar stool seating at the expansive kitchen island. The comfortable sectional sofa fits everyone for movie night and is a great place to unwind from those beach days. Visiting in cooler months, you can warm up by the fireplace in the living room while you enjoy our abundance of throw blankets. Plan to indulge yourself in real goose down comforters, hand picked feather and gel pillows, blackout curtains in all of the bedrooms. Families will love the swing, beach chairs and supplies, kiddie pool, and fishing pole. Frette Brand luxury bath towels and Lather soaps.

Guest Access:
Our home is contactless seamless and easy self check in. A code will be set for you and shared 48 hours before your arrival. At Sojourn we take your happiness and comfort seriously. No request is too big or too small for our team and we strive to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Don't hesitate to ask.

The Neighborhood:
Welcome to the lovely East Beach neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia. The Beach is just steps away in any direction! You may decide to take a nice walk on the beach, or ride your bike in this friendly and relaxed neighborhood. After your day at the Beach visit Cova Brewery and enjoy food trucks and a great outdoor space for drinks or coffee. East Beach is ideal to get away from the crowds of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and relax in the sun and sand.

Getting Around:
We recommend bringing a vehicle or utilizing ride shares.

Other Things to Note:
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking.

1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.

2)Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests:

If you are booking a flat for over 30 days, you will be provided with the standard tenant package as required under Virginia law, and be required to acknowledge receipt of the same.

The terms of our Agreement will remain as agreed to on the booking platform, and anything implied under Virginia state law.
Please note that the building has ring cameras monitoring and recording the exterior and common areas of the building at all times. There are absolutely no cameras on or in the interior of any unit.

If you are traveling with a pet please inform your host prior to arrival. Our pet fee is $75 per pet, per week for up to 6 weeks. If you are traveling for longer than 6 weeks please inquire about the Long Term pet fee. Make sure to check the listing details to see if your property is pet friendly.

Our properties require Sojourn to collect the name and picture of government-issued photo ID for each guest. Sojourn, our guests and our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. This verification step keeps everyone safe and provides additional insurance on your stay. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.

For the comfort of our guests and team members, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted inside or within thirty (30) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke your card can be charged, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and your security deposit will be forfeited. Sojourn will contact the booking service, terminate your stay and post the appropriate review.

Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe, these devices can not record or decipher what you are saying they are only for monitoring noise. Noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation could be terminated without refund.

What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.
* Baby Wipes/Wet Wipes/Cleaning Pads
* Dental Floss
* Q-tips/Cotton Balls
* Diapers
* Pills
* Paper Towels/Tissues or excess toilet paper
Fireworks are illegal in Virginia. If you are found to be engaged in setting off fireworks we are required by the city to immediately terminate your stay. Also If you are found responsible for having started a wildfire or dune fire with fireworks, you may be liable for all suppression and reclamation costs or even face imprisonment and fines.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.

4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.

5) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.

6) The fireplace is functional.

7)Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
