“I was away for work and my fiancees nan had passed away the day before my travel so she joined me for a few days on this trip. The first evening was lovely and sunny and we went and watched the sunset and had tea out, when returning to the cabin we found the other cabins were now hosting guests. We had a nice evening and went to sleep, we were then woken at 5am by the most horrific argument we had ever heard that went on for a full 90 minutes between the crack heads that had booked the other two……

“Hope that I may get chance to stay again in the New Year. I would again need it for a few nights which I hope would be possible.”

“Had a nice stay at the Kentisbury Grange in the retreat lodge. It was very well equipped and set in a lovely location. It did however show signs of age with some of furnishing needing replacement (eg some laminates on furniture peeling off). The cleaning was well below par. Layer of dust across most surfaces, crums in the table channels etc.. Bed linen and kitchen areas were very clean though. Bathroom had some issues and did not meet our definition of luxury because of wear and tear and……

“My girlfriend, our dog, and I had a lovely stay in the Shepherd’s Shed. The views from both the shed and the balcony were amazing, and the cozy hot tub was perfect for the cold November nights. Once we got it up to temperature, it stayed hot for ages, so we even enjoyed a couple of morning dips! The Shepherd’s Shed is in the perfect location for exploring North Devon!! we went on some great walks and also enjoyed plenty of peace and quiet, which was exactly what we needed after a busy few……

“Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future.”
