“Great location minutes away from cafés, pubs and eateries. Funicular virtually next door. Lovely old hotel, clean and full of character though indeed of a little tlc. We were made very welcome and our rooms were upgraded at no extra cost with amazing views across the valley. Very dog friendly and would definitely stay there again. Thank you. ”

“Lovely 3 night stay at Sawmills when at a wedding down the hill. Clean lovely room, small but very useable bathroom with everything you need. Great breakfast included, nice bar friendly staff. Easy parking. Highly recommend.”

“The Imperial was ;lovely, well run hotel with excellent staff and food with one exception.namely the bread used for toast and sandwiches is very thick (approx 8mms) and not in keeping with a hotel of this quality. It should be replaced”
