Friends annual summer vacation

Our 3 families have been traveling together for almost 20 years and Cherry Grove Beach is one of our favorite places to go. We had never stayed on the canal side before but we absolutely loved it! Having the beautiful canals with the nice breezes and scenery in the back and being so close to the ocean was just perfect. We even got to see fireworks on the beach and then again from our deck afterwards! The house itself was setup perfectly for our group. We will definitely look to stay there again!

Great place to get away!

This was a great house in a quiet and great location near the ocean and on a creek. Some of the people staying actually did some fishing right in the back yard. It was an awesome place to stay and we would love to rent this place again.

Great house and location

Renovations made by owner are great with new flooring, paint, and other updates. House is in excellent location with a short walk to the beach and a great view of the marsh. Perfect for our family and we will stay there again

Family Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend! The owners could not have responded quicker to questions we had after arriving. Great location, easy walk to the beach, grocery store around the corner. Great stay!

Great location and layout. Owner responded quickly to any questions.

Location was great on the channel but easy walking distance to the beach. The house layout worked well for our needs. Overall the house was cleaned well for our arrival though the carpets could use a cleaning. We would stay here again.

Great house with lots of character. Lots of perks!

The house was a great accommodation for my family over the Thanksgiving holiday! We had a great time...lots of space. The only deterrents were high tied and the place was a little dusty and some areas dated...but would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable Beach Home

Family vacation

We loved staying at the Davis House. Loved being on the marsh. The grandkids enjoyed catching fish and crabs (caught and released). Easy walk to beach with 2 wagons and 5 children. Well supplied kitchen. House was very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Myrtle Beach 2019 Golf Trip

Two couples, who travel for golf, rented a house for the first time vs a condo. The Davis House more than met our expectations. Everything on the listing were exactly as shown. Newer furniture made the stay very comfortable. Several meals were made in-house with all utensils available. The area is VERY quiet and peaceful. Two blocks to the beach is priceless. Both coupes agree, we would definitely rent this house again.

Very spacious, Needs a good cleaning!

We enjoyed our stay here. However, it needs a good cleaning. The baseboards, ceiling fans and ceiling. The shower curtains had a very sour smell to them which made the entire bathroom smell. This property could be so neat if it had updated floors, carpet and some paint. It meet our needs for what we needed it for a couple of days.

Footprints Beach House

My family & I stayed for a week here. And it was great!! Lots of bedrooms, spacious living room and kitchen and the bonus room overlooking the bay was a nice touch for early morning alone time. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The only thing that really needs some improvement is the outside grill. It did not have a damper on it to control the temperature of what we were cooking. But overall we had a wonderful time with our family being together. Thanks again for making it easy for us we will definitely stay again on our next vacation to the beach!!

Clean, bright, well maintained property with all the amenities required for an excellent vacation.

House is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a 5 min walk to the beach. Back porch view of the canal is a wonderful feature. All four bedrooms are of equal size and outfitting (all have televisions and two beds). Each has a private bathroom. We were two golf foursomes, and was a very equitable lodging choice for all. Only 5 min drive to key venues such as gasoline, groceries, a few restaurants, etc. Cherry Grove Beach is a very nice and convenient location to stay in the Myrtle Beach area. Finally, the property manager is very helpful and responsive. The cleaning staff found a few clothing items we accidentally left behind, and they even have an established process to ship these back to us. Thank You!

Great use of space. Was dirty.

Each bedroom having its own bathroom was great. The kitchen was loaded with dishes and silverware. The ceiling fans were filthy with dust and the HVAC vents needed cleaned too. This created major allergy problems for multiple guests in our group of 9. One of the beds needs more frame support and the dock had two boards missing which created a potential hazard for the young children in our group. New ceiling fans that had more light would actually really help light up this simple beach house. Laundry room was great for rinsing sandy swimwear.

Good location, but home needs a lot of TLC

We picked this home for a family reunion due to it’s location and that it had 4 bedrooms/4 baths. That was the best thing about the house- short walk to the beach, canal views, quiet street. We were very disappointed in the quality of the home. It is very worn. For the price we paid for the week, I would have expected a higher quality home. It does not seem anything is invested back in the home. Pots/pans are ancient; mismatched glasses; fridge was leaking and had two shelves in the door that were broken and therefore useless. The ceiling is sagging in the family room. The front door is hard to close. We had a leaking toilet which was leaking down and onto the washer- they did send a plumber out to fix it. Also, note that there is no way to access the canal- photos show stairs, but they are not there anymore. We would not stay here again.

Please Clean Me...

The rating would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the overall cleanliness of the property. The home is older, but well equipped, and the layout and location were perfect for what we wanted. Lately everyone's excuse is that they don't have enough people to clean the hotels and rental homes. That's BS because of the cost of cleaning, and the cost of the homes, period. If you can't get it cleaned, then don't rent it until you do. There is no reason for any rental in that price range to be unclean. The floors, baseboards, ceiling fans, bathrooms, and kitchen were terrible. We spent the first whole day cleaning just enough to feel comfortable. Four bathrooms, and only 2 rolls of TP, come on.

MB Family Vacation

Property was bigger then we had expected, and our experience was wonderful. Any questions we had were answered timely and we had a welcome bag. Walking distance to the beach, and within driving distance to restaurants and attractions.

Perfect set up for family

The layout with the 4 be 4 ba was perfect for our family. The marsh view was beautiful. Easy walk to the beach even with kids and grandparents. Everyone had a great time and wants to come again.
