Very Disappointing
Staying at this property can be summed up in 1 word: disappointing. The issues we experienced were related to maintenance of the property. The location is great, access to the beach could not have been better, rocking chairs on the porch were nice, and the pool size was perfect.
In regards to maintenance of the property, the majority of house appears to not have been updated in decades. --Rooms were very small, bathrooms and showers were even smaller. There were empty cans around couches, food left in the refrigerator, dishes left to be put away in the dishwasher, rusty screws laying on beds, lights/light switches/fans that did not work, a broken toilet, faucets/showers that only had very hot water, gates around the pool that were either completely broken and did not safely keep children from access to the ocean or were bent in a way that made them difficult to open. The pool and hot tub were filled with sand. Not all water faucets worked. Towels provided were very small and thin.
All this before we had to make our own beds for the stay and bring our own toilet paper.
When the air conditioner broke, someone was sent that evening to fix it. Other items took days to be repaired.
Overall, this was not a great place to take a family. It seems better suited to college kids. We hope that the owner invests into the property to ensure safety for renters and that the house provides an experience worthy of the price tag.
