Great vacation

We enjoyed staying at High Tide for our family vacation. We enjoyed fishing every day off the private dock, the walk to beach was quick, The house was clean, we had to sweep a little bit when we got there but we are at the beach, and no matter how many times we swept, mopped and vacuumed before we left , I would see more sand. The air broke the 3rd day but Elliott Realty sent someone out that day to fix it. We would definitely stay there again.

Roomy enough for our large family to sit around the table and play games

A few age and maintenance things such as doors, cabinets, loose or not 100 percent functioning things as expected with an older home. But we loved the house layout and all the open space under the house and ramp and dock. And laundry room space. It worked well for use as kayakers.

Be Aware

The house itself is an excellent location, quick access to the beach and easy. Furnishings are good. Enough seating for lots of people, plenty of beds. Enough dishes and silverware for plenty of people. Pots and pans need to be replaced and there are not many of them. We arrived on Sunday and I am mediately had to begin cleaning walls from food stains. There were piles and piles of sand underneath the rugs that a cleaning crew had obviously chosen not to take care of. Mold and mildew above the registers and on the ceilings in the bathrooms. On our fourth day there we discovered roaches in the kitchen. The realty company sent someone out that day and they took care of the problem, however I spent the rest of the vacation having to kill roaches. The washing machine broke the first day it was repaired and worked for about three days and then broke again. The repair man told us we could not use it anymore. This might not have been a problem but when you have to supply your own towels and linens and sheets it does become a problem. We couldn’t wash a single towel, so we were using dirty towels the remainder of the week. I cannot say enough however about Elliott realty company, they worked with us on every issue and was polite and understanding. And they really did everything that they possibly could do. I do not feel that the cleaning issues was their fault, I actually feel badly because they are paying a cleaning crew who is probably not doing what they are supposed to do. Elliot rentals was responsive and they should be proud of the way that their employees handle customer service.

Great experience

I can't say anything bad about the experience we had during the family's stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the location was great, and my family and I all appreciated being able to get away for a week after the year we've all had. The house...the house has a lot of potential. Some of the exterior needs a little TLC and maybe a little updating inside, but everything was clean, pretty much everything worked as it should, and if the washing machine danced off the platform it was placed on it was not a big deal. Thanks again for hosting us.
