Never Again: Big Fish Rentals’ Poor Communication & Condo IssuesOur stay was frustrating due to Big Fish Rentals and the condo. The welcome email had wrong wifi and parking info. Wifi didn’t work the first night — after a long rainy drive, we just wanted to relax. Big Fish blamed the HOA and told me to use mobile data. Front desk confirmed the real issue: outdated login info from Big Fish. Big Fish also said no parking pass was needed — but we did, or risked being towed.Every message focused on potential extra charges (towels, trash, etc.) instead of helping guests, making us feel like rule-breakers.The condo was poorly maintained. Kitchen understocked — only one cereal bowl. Dishwasher left dishes dirty after two cycles (see photo). Master shower had one door, so water sprayed everywhere (photo). Broken lampshade in master reflected overall neglect (photo).Disappointing stay. We will never book with Big Fish Rentals again and do not recommend them.

We really enjoyed our stay! We actually would love to come back next year! The only complaints we had was the condo has a slight urine smell as well as the couch that could use a cleaning. Other than that it was amazing!

Great location, Clean Condo

We had originally booked to stay from the front half of the week of the fourth, my husband had an accident which required surgery (I highly recommend the travel insurance, which I did not get this trip). We ended up adding an extra day at the beginning due to having to cut the trip short to come back for surgery. The communication was excellent. They were very quick to respond. It is a very convenient location. The condo itself, was very clean and cute. It has multiple views of the ocean from the windows. The view from the balcony is great. Overall, it did not disappoint. I would have loved to have been able to stay our whole time, but I would definitely rent this condo again.

Great stay, broken ice maker, missing shower door

The condo was nicely updated, as stated. The master bed was uncomfortable sonce the mattress was very hard.I alerted the property manager regarding the broken ice maker. They came to check it the following day, but it couldn't be fixed.Also, the master shower is missing 1 of the double glass doors. They stated one was on order. I had to put a towel on the floor since it did splash a little.

The location is great but the rental managing is BIZARRE

The location is amazing! The condo was relatively clean but needs to be deep cleaned like the 1/4" of dust on the baseboards and decorative shelves. If you have any type of allergies I don't recommend this one. The rental company, Big Fish, has some bizarre requirements that are not disclosed in the VRBO listing. You must send them a photo of front/back of your credit card, driver's licenses, your signature and your photo via email or text to secure your reservation. They "lost" ours twice. They also keep a hold on your security deposit for 7-30 days after check-out. If I were the owner of this condo, I would find a better management company than Big Fish.

repairs needed

The condo was fine. However, it needs some work. The shower door in the master bath was missing half the door and allowed water to get on the floor. Also, the ice-maker in the fridge did not work. Maybe there is a water shut-off to it that is not visible. I did flip the lever in the ice-maker, but it never made ice, kinda necessary item at the beach.

Needs serious cleaning

This is a cute place, BUT it needs some serious cleaning. Also, there are no mattress covers,just a thin sheet on the mattress. In the little bath the hot water in the shower pours out from the handle which could be a concern for children. The only other thing that I really hated was after I had already booked this place, I got a long email of instructions that included a requirement to send bigfish realtor a picture front and back of my driver's license and my credit card. I am old, have rented Lots of places and this was a first. I Don't like it!!

Perfect place at the beach

Great location, convenient check in , parking, quick elevators, nice storage for beach equipment, easy few steps to the beach, clean, quiet, comfortable, just right. We’ve come to NMB for 15 years and finally found this place and it’s everything we’ve been looking for🏝
