"We arrived and found that the restaurant and bar were going to be closed for the duration of our stay. This is a remote area, so we had to drive to locate any food or drink. We had to change rooms several times, as we wanted a room on the lakeside and had to upgrade to a handicap room, due to the toilets being so low to the ground in the regular rooms. Neither of us are handicapped, but we are in our 70's. The room was fine and the beds were super comfortable! We spent the better part of our afternoons and evenings just sitting and looking at the wonderful lake, the chipmunks, and all the birds. The only drawback to the serenity is that I-77 is just on the other side of the hill and all the noise just spoils it. We would stay there again."
"Large place. Plenty of room. Description of beds and such is accurate. Plenty of parking for our two double rigs. Maybe only room for one more after that since there's a camper with a no parking sign. Handy carport. Just don't forget linens, bathroom shower and hand towels and kitchen towels. Washer was not working correctly but probably common with people tossing muddy cloth straight into it. Excellent bathroom size and showers. Good location, use the back roads (14) through Crumpler to Outlaw Bar and Grill maybe a 20 min SXS ride. Well worth it."
"The room was nasty.the floors were completely black. Looked as of they used the same mop water for each room. We got into the shower just after being there 2hrs with bare fewt and the towel sas black from where we stepped on it. they advertised a pool and continental breakfast. Neither was available. The outside light flickered hardly worked was extremely dark and sketchy. There wasnt enough plugs. There wasnt towels or trash cans or ammenities like a coffee maker in the room. The lobby was under renovation with no sign of pardon our dust or renovations. There was dust and boxes every where.
No exhaust fans in bathroom smoke detector went off bc of the shower.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND"

"My sister and I are already planning on return visit to this property. It was a delightful unique experience staying in a home that was like going back in time. We both loved the home as well as the landscape it was quiet and beautiful. We are going to plan a longer trip so that we can enjoy the property and do things we didn't have a chance to this time like a outdoor fire as well as long walks."
