Booked very last minute, primary requirements were close to the beach and easy access shower.
Chalet is on a site which is excellently maintained, chalet itself was well maintained, clean and provided everything needed (including windbreak for the beach, umbrella for sitting in the sun)
Dark skies at night (just what I love) and incredibly quiet - slept through the night, I didn't even hear the torrential rain on the Thursday night. There are no services on site, but the site is a 10 minute walk to the village centre, where there is a butcher, baker and grocers, pharmacy and other local services. There is a Tesco Express one minute walk away, next to the petrol station.
Although the beach is 700 m walk away, to reach the beach you need to negotiate the steep stairs down the side of the cliff. I would recommend walking the 10 minutes into the village centre for easier access, however it's worth the climb down and you can walk along the beach towards the village centre and come back that way. I also walked towards Trimmingham, and went on the beach there.
There didn't seem to be too much in the way of evening dining, during the day, plenty of choise for fish n chips, etc otherwise a couple of hotels really was all I could find - but I didn't look that hard. We drank at The Star Inn one early evening, but didn't eat there. We did have one takeaway, I would recommend the New Sage chinese takeaway.
For walking, the lanes were fairly quiet, and the pavements around the village well maintained. There were plenty of short cuts, if you want to explore the village.
Overall, a thoroughly relaxing stay and the weather was wonderful.
