"The apartment was clean and the location is good. It would have been nice to have access to additional bath towels. There could be more kitchen items, like drinking glasses, there were only small juice glasses. A bread toaster would also be nice. We did appreciate the fans. For us it would have been good to know in advance that the second bedroom was upstairs. It is a lovely and clean apartment."

"We absolutely loved our stay in this gem by the ocean. The property is exactly like on the pictures and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean every night is such a delight. Communication with the host was easy and efficient. They were very accomodating. The place is ideally located to visit the island. Thank you for a great stay ! "

"My family and I had a wonderful 8 days at Villa Sal. The house was spacious, beautifully designed with every amenity. We loved that it was off the beaten path and immersed in the local village. The ability to find parking close by, small markets and the pool was an extra bonus. The house was a quick 15 minute drive to Ponta Delgado and Franco do Campo. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a true San Miguel experience. "

"The Whales Bay hotel is highly recommended. The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and even got into the jacuzzi for a few minutes. The location is nice also as it is out in a quieter area but still only about 25 minutes t Ponta Delgada. The only thing missing was a nice breakfast."
