Lemon Tree Relais by CX Collection

"I had a great time at Lemon Tree. The guest house is incredibly beautiful (the pictures are accurate!), the room facilities were slightly basic but all in good working order and everything was spotless and well maintained. But it's the hosting that is where it really comes into its own. Andreina and everyone who works here are the most welcoming of hosts, and the home-cooked breakfast every morning (with many traditional Maltese options) was the absolute highlight! I stated I am pescetarian and Andreina was extremely accomodating - adapting every recipe to my dietary requirements. Żabbar is a really nice place to stay - it's incredibly quiet, the locals are very friendly, and there's a really frequent 90/91 bus from Żabbar town centre to Valletta bus station - whence you can get a bus to anywhere else in Malta. (There are also buses 92/93/94 closer to Lemon Tree but they are less frequent than the 90/91.) I also walked to Birgu on my first day - distances in Malta are tiny enough that if the weather allows, it is possible to get around on foot. The only downside was the shower, which gets its water from a tank and so is quite inconsistent in both pressure and temperature. But this was a minor inconvenience when everything else was so great. I would definitely stay at Lemon Tree again! Thank you Andreina and everyone!"

"Excellent location and great value. The guest house is perfectly situated for exploring the Three Cities, with a local bakery, waterfront restaurants, and the Valletta ferry all within close walking distance. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked flawlessly. The staff communication was highly efficient. We were accommodated with an early check-in by an hour, and Kayden specifically was exceptionally quick and helpful in answering questions. The only drawback was the towel provision. We received one towel per person, and without a radiator or proper place to dry them in the room, they remained damp and developed an odour. Replacing the towels every two to three days would completely resolve this issue. Overall, highly recommended for the price and service."
