6. Chalet #2 Mark's Place Located on Big Island, NS along Northumberland Straight

Pictou, Subd. C

「Lovely to turn on the gas fireplace in the evening, really warms the space up. Place was clean and sturdily built. There was a big wind and rain storm while we were there and we were snug and cozy inside.Hosts were very responsive to any questions, and the caretakers were lovely. The site has steep stairs to the beach, and is fun to explore the rocks and pools for older children and adults. Go down the road to the regular beach access for swimming and sand though. The food truck at the gas...

10. Tan Chalet at Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort

「The cabin was dirty; light switches grimey, dirt on walls, cob webs on stair case, hot tub was very dirty (we kept scooping out brown foam) and our arms and legs were covered in brown scum when we got out. I went upstairs to shower and there very little water coming out of the shower then the water stopped completely. There was no water coming out of the bathroom sink. The beds were very uncomfortable-I looked under the mattress and the wooden support rail was broken.I’m not at all a picky...

「We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful log cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the property and the incredible view. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and honestly the kind of place you just want to sit outside, take everything in, and enjoy the surroundings. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and had such a warm, welcoming feel. The entire property is beautiful and you can really tell how much care has been put into it.The owner was also incredibly friendly and...

15. The Green Chalet at Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort

Englishtown

「We were to be in the Green Chalet (the word chalet is quite misleading). Informed host we would be arriving late. Chalet could only be identified by the roof colour, which in the dark is not visible. A sign on the cabin would have been helpful. The breakfast (an additional charge) was watery scrambled eggs, cold pancakes, dry bread, frozen raspberries. The manager was to be in at 8:00, finally showed up at 8:25. The other staff were unable to assist with check-in. As a result, we were unable to...

16. Lawrencetown Beach House with Hot Tub & Sauna

Head of Chezzetcook

「My brothers and our families stayed here after a family memorial. It was the perfect spot to be together and reflect and relax for a week, since we live far apart. We enjoyed paddle boarding on the quiet bay, swimming in the ocean, hiking on the local nature trails, and relaxing in the wood fired sauna and hot tub. The house and facilities were more than adequate for our large group of 10 adults. Our host was responsive and helpful. Whenever I contacted her she cared more about our...
