“We were the first overnight guests for the new owners and forced them to accelerate their plans for taking guests! They were lovely and could not have given us a warmer welcome. “A lovely old countryside Inn which has been modernised to an excellent standard whilst maintaining the old features The bedrooms are of a good size with comfy beds and stylish ensuite with powerful shower The room we stayed in also had the added benefit of air conditioning which was welcoming indeed with the ouyside temps being over 30^c Food service and all staff were excellent and all in all we found The Star to be a great place to stay”

“Lovely country pub, with easily accessible rooms with motel-style parking. Only negative with our room (7) was the rain shower with a silly design, no chance of a shower without getting your hair wet - not always ideal for ladies! But nice with a walk-in shower! The cooked breakfast was great.”
