Property seems to be in the process of getting renovated. Peeling paint, cracks in the flooring, heavy marijuana smell, rent by the hour feel, and right next to the train tracks made this one less than desirable. Very easy access to Amtrak if you come in that way, though. Made our late night arrival easier.

I am writing about my experience at the Jack London Inn Oakland, CA. I sometimes wonder what to write about when there is so much to state. First, the front desk employee was professional and polite. Second, checking-in was smooth and made me feel comfortable, welcomed, and appreciated. Finally, this is my 5th time staying here and I have to say, if one is considering where to relax, reenergize , or just let your self breathe. Jack London Inn is the place. Near iconic eateries (Everett & Jones BBQ, Scott’s Seafood and Jack London Square) you will be pleasantly surprised by how much fun one can have.
