What a nice place. My room was big & the high ceilings (20 foot?) made it seem even bigger. The shared spaces look awesome. I will remember this hotel the next time I'm in the area. I should mention that there isn't an elevator, which could be a problem for some people.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even let us check in a bit early and took our luggage to the room. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and incredibly quiet. And just an FYI, though the hotel itself was lovely, the immediate neighborhood felt somewhat less appealing. Would not recommend walking back late at night alone. That said, incredible restaurants within walking distance and very affordable.

Really cute place with big windows in the room. Appreciate the fridge in the room with microwave downstairs. Only downside is you may hear people in the hall pretty easily and there is no elevator. Soap, shampoo, etc provided as well. Area did not feel unsafe at all, close to bart stations. Staff were all very nice. Definitely would stay here again! Also, Mr Liu's Noodle House was so good, down the block.

It's a pretty basic place, the mattress was not firm enough, the A/C unit instructions were hard to understand, the battery was low on the remote. It's quiet, though, for the neighborhood. They've got a bunch of rules they have to read you, maybe because their typical guest is a frat boy crowd, idk? It's downtown Oakland tho, good deal to be so close to the convention center etc.

Lots of places to walk to get great food, before 9 PM. Afterwards, it’s pretty much a food desert. It’s great being two blocks away from Bart when you’re traveling from the airport. Very comfortable beds! Great size bathroom!
