The hotel was very beautiful and quaint. The breakfast buffet was really good food. The staff working at this hotel were so over the top and have great service. Kudos to every staff member there because they make the hotel what makes this hotel beautiful and rate this 5 stars. Without the service from them I think I would rate it differently. The people in Oaxaca are just wholesome & beautiful people.

A couple things to know about this hotel: Despite the name, "City Centro" is nowhere near the city centre. Jalatlaco is a great walkable neighbourhood with great shops and restaurants, and a great place to stay, but it's about a 30 minute walk to the actual city centre. Most of the rooms don't face the outside, they face tiny little courtyards, so you are essentially looking directly into your neighbour's room. Everyone keeps their blinds closed because of this. They only have bar soap, no liquid bath soap, which I was surprised by for a North American Marriott. No coffee machine in the room, but lots of places for coffee close by. Overall, great hotel, very aesthetic, relaxing Oaxaca vibes, we had dinner by the pool and the food was great, and great neighbourhood. Just a few things to be aware of.

Our room was clean but very small for a family of 4. The only window was towards the hallway of the hotel so you couldn't really keep open. Aside from that, room drove was good and available late, the pool was nice and warm at night and refreshing during the day. The staff was all kind and helpful. The location is prefect in a picturesque neighborhood. Everything is about a 10 minute walk our a small cab ride away
