There were 2 lizards and several roaches within the room. There was no hot water and parking area was kinda sketchy. Drive by the place several times looking for the sign that said Oyo Hotel but there was a different name on billboard. When explaining that to the lady at front desk, she said it said Oyo on the front counter banner. I told her I couldn’t see that from the road. Thank god for GPS.

I don't look too hard at the cleanliness of motels in this price range. I bring my own cleaning supplies. I also don't sleep on their linens. I bring 2 blankets & my own pillows. The owners were very nice people. They're remodeling the motel so there's furniture from inside the rooms that are at the front of the motel all over the outside. It gave me pause at 1st, but don't judge a book, right? The room was fine. The a/c worked great & so did the mini fridge. There was plenty of outlets for my electronics. My room faced Popeye's drive thru so I heard New Orleans jazz all day & night which was great! My only real complaint was that someone left their crack pipe & brillo outside of my room. Please, if you're gonna do that type of thing keep it in your room. I don't want to see it!

My unit was okay until we went out on 7/12 to do some site seeing, we left our room air on 68 when we came back it was like a sauna. I complained and they said I should have left it on 60, which it didn't even go that low, then I thought I was getting a unit with a pool, which was not at this location. I liked the price & I did reserve 2 rooms for my stay. When checking in I had to put everything on a Credit Card, which I wasn't planing on doing, but I did. I had just opened a new credit card so all I had on me was a check to use for this, but they would not take it, Then they didn't take any checks, which was very inconvenient for me, but I did have another credit card that I was able to use. I also asked for extra towels on 7/11 & extra cups. Didn't get the towels until late 7/12 & then our trash was not taken out until 7/13. So that was not good for us. Our room was okay & I liked the price, but when I checkout they went to make sure the rooms were not damaged in any way before they gave me back my deposit. They were very rude as far as I am concerned. Telling me I should have put the room at 60 & not taking out my trash. I was only there to sleep, but they didn't even want to take anything off of my bill. I just thought rude. Like I said we were just there to sleep which we did. I paid for both rooms as we were there to celebrate my sister's 90 birthday. It was a wonderful trip for us to do that so, that will never be taken away from us.

Beware Housekeeping Sucks

The room wasn't clean. There was a dead bug in the tub, the room was extremely hot and took an hour to cool off, bathroom was disgusting. Whoever "cleaned" the room needs to be fired. Will never stay there again I rather pay $100 a night for a corporate hotel then at a roach motel.
