Awesome 4BR, 3.5 BA (unit 71)with Bay Views, Pool & Boat Slip!

NEW COUCHES AS OF 2023! This is the house you want to rent this summer! The owner takes great care of his property and does everything possible to keep the house in fantastic shape. This 4 BR, 3.5 BA townhouse is only 2 miles to the beach and offers a slew of fantastic amenities. If you own a boat, BRING IT! The dedicated slip in the marina can hold boats up to 34' in length and provide quick access to the ocean. If you need to pool to augment your beach time, the community offers one for you to use. Sheets and paper products are not provided but can be rented (delivery & pickup) from Coastal Beach Services. There are comforters & pillows on each of the beds. There will be a new large couch delivered in Feb 2023. In June, July, and August the check-in is 2:00pm, check-out 10:00am. All other months might have a more flexible schedule.

The beds are as follows: 3rd floor- (1) kings, (1) bunkbeds (double/single), (1) single,
1st floor- (1) queen

** Please note... In June, July and August, we do NOT rent for partial weeks. There is a seven night minimum term required during the summer. All rentals are Saturday to Saturday. The house DOES NOT come with sheets, towels, or other linens. You can bring them with you or rent them from Coastal Beach Services, a local company that delivers and picks up a variety of essentials for your beach stay. We had a great stay! The views from the decks and around the neighborhood are beautiful! Neighbors were all friendly and welcoming. Pool was a bonus for some downtime when not going to the beach. John checked in to make sure we got in okay and we appreciated that. Loved having use of the kayaks as well. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location on the bay

Very spacious house with beautiful bay views. Well equipped for crabbing, fishing and kayaking. Close to the beach. Very nice for our family of 8.

Loved it with one small minus

Perfect unit except for one small minus. We brought our dog, and there were any traps every where (which he tried to eat). At least 8 of them of the first floor. On day 3 i went to the basement, to do laundry, which also had a bedroom in it but fortunately we were not using. There was an entire colony of ants marching down the hallway. My husband sprayed raid and we made them away via text. My guess is given the ant traps and the raid that this is an ongoing issue for the unit. Id suggest getting professional bug guys to assist. If we had been using the basement bedroom it would have put a real damper on things. Other than that, my kiddos loved using the bunkbeds. The couches were nice but the recliner function was hard to put back in place each time. The kitchen was huge and super functional. The decorations were lovely and coastal inspired. It was clean. The beds squeaked but that's what earplugs are for. We thoroughly enjoyed the decks and sitting out watching the turtle pops their heads up, the boats going in and out and having the water without the chaos of being right on the beach. It's a lovely quiet location with friendly neighbors, good walking neighborhood, safe with a nice little pool to take a dip in. Over all, a great experience.

The place was clean and had everything to make the week stress free. We had an opportunity to go crabbing in the bay with the pots provided by the owner. Location is only a short drive from anything you would need or want to do. The only negative is you must pay to park when going to the beach. Every beach access requires you to pay. Thanks Joe Biden!

Bayside Beauty

This property had everything we could hope for. Access to the water to launch kayaks into the bay. Nice quiet community. Very close to everything you might need. We fished at the inlet alot & just 10 minutes away. Sunrises & sunsets were amazing. Tried out the tandem kayaks as well

Great family get together.

Great time had by all 3 generations and having dogs with us made it that much better. We have a place in ocean city but decided to have a less frantic vacation with more space and bring our 2 small dogs. Great decision crabing, fishing, beach, pool,shopping and most of all special tome spent with family. Thanks John for facilitating our stay. Look forwar to doing it again next year with the rest of my family.

Very nice place and great location

The overall location of the rental was great. My family loved being on the bayside waterfront and we were a short drive to Bethany beach area. Four bedrooms and 3+ bathrooms made things nice for when we got back from the beach to take showers. Overall, the townhouse was nicely decorated and very affordable for the size of the place and its location. My kids loved using the two kayaks that the owners provide. The only downside to the rental was that the steps from floor to floor might be a little harder to ascend if you're slightly older. My family definitely wants to stay there again next year.

Family vacation

Place is really nice! We stayed at the place for a week and had an enjoyable, relaxing time. We really enjoyed sitting out on the decks in the morning and afternoon, so relaxing! The bedrooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Living room was comfortable as well. Couches allowed our family to sit and watch tv comfortably together. I have no complaints, the owners did a great job with the place and made it welcoming! We had a dog with us, plenty of area for the dog to go outside and lots of dogs in the community. The place is about a 2 minute drive to the bay and a 10 min drive to the Bethany beach. We went to Fenwick state park for our beach days… only $10 to park for the day and dogs are allowed. Would recommend renting for a relaxing beach week and not wanting to be right in town but right on the water. So nice watching the boats go by and people kayak. We even tried the kayaks the owners have at the house, which made our stay fun. Easy to get in the water and use.

Enjoyable rental off the beaten path but close to Bethany and Indian River Inlet

We (family of 4, plus a dog) arrived to the rental and were happy with the layout and decor. We brought our own inflatable paddle boards which we were able to launch right from the back of the home. We also used one of the included kayaks. Was a nice way to explore the surrounding waterway. There was not a Keurig as confirmed prior to the arrival but the owner was nearby and dropped one off the next day. Would not have been a huge issue but made the mornings much easier than brewing a full pot of coffee. Much appreciated! We decided to goto Big Chill Beach Club at Indian River Inlet for beach access. A nice location with good parking and showers/restrooms for $10/day. Parking is a bit tight but there are guest parking spots available to use if you have trouble pulling up to the two spots at the home. The views from all three balconies were great. A very good rental overall and we did enjoy our time during our visit.

Beautiful and spacious

We had an awesome time at this beautifully decorated and extremely spacious town home. We had trouble hooking up to the Wi-Fi as the Wi-Fi user and password were different than what we were provided but after reaching out to the host with no reply we were hunting around the home and found the correct info posted in the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, the stove time needed to be entered every day in order to get the oven to work and we made the mistake of not cleaning thoroughly every day all day as the ants took over the kitchen day one! once we realized these two things' days two through seven were smooth sailing. Just would suggest shower head with sprayer hose to assist with showering those who need assist and to help clean the shower/tub between uses. Would also suggest longer shower curtains to prevent mopping the floors after every use. The views from every level were amazing and the neighbors very friendly. We would definitely recommend this unit.

We had a great vacation!

Plenty of space for all of us. Decks were great for watching the sunrise. Pool was very clean. Having the Kayaks available was great. John was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. A great person to trust with your vacation!

Do we want to stay at this property again? Maybe not

This beach house is in a great location and very convenient if you don’t mind driving your car 4 miles to the beach where there is public parking. It is a pet-friendly home and neighborhood. The pool is close to the house and nice and clean. Unfortunately, this home was not rental-ready to accommodate a family vacation, and we are rating it a 1 for many reasons. We made a list of things not working, missing, and broken and called John and John connected with the owner. John asked us to send the list in a text message to him. We sent everything in the message. He NEVER RESPONDED. To be clear, we only asked him to rectify anything in the list he could while we were there. We never asked for reimbursements or refunds; we just wanted to enjoy our stay. We tried to make things work with what we had since we had driven 3.5 hours to get here and taken time off from our busy schedules to enjoy this trip. The icing on the cake was when we scrolled down to the 1-star reviews to see if another family had experienced some of the same issues A YEAR AGO, which means nothing had been changed in a year. Had he at least acknowledged the issues or sent someone over to take a look or try to fix something, we would not have left a 1 star. Family room furniture is uncomfortable not enough sitting furniture for our family to use. Mattress in the master bedroom did not have a mattress cover and was heavily stained Need clean pillows Need clean comforters Uncomfortable mattresses No nightstand lamps Bathroom no floor mats, slippery Broken toilet seat No working toasters Dryer was not working (very inconvenient) There are more to add to this list but there is not enough room in this review box. We appreciate and enjoy every place we stay, that is why it was a disappointment to see these things. It was even more disheartening to confirm our disappointment when we went back to read the low reviews of this place. Some of the same things we had issues with have been ongoing. This is our first time using VRBO to rent, and we wanted to have a good experience, so we rent more using VRBO. I want to ask VRBO, should we trust your rentals for our future trips?

Excellent stay!!

Our stay was awesome. Had a very relaxing week with our family. Kitchen is well equipment (save for maybe some none stick pans). We cook the majority of the week and were able to do all our meals with ease. Views are beautiful from each balconies. Enjoyed the water access and the short trip to the beach the days we chose to go. John is an excellent host.

Great Place

We had a great time staying in this home! Great community, great location! John and Jason were both great to work with! Took our family and in-laws for a week at the beach and this property delivered! We were able to take our boats and dock them right in the community marina which made it very convenient! Bethany beach is very close as well as shopping and fishing! We were able to make our way to the inlet to do some fishing. Crabbing in the bay and the list goes on! So much to do will definitely be returning!

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property with our two kids and dog. Place was super clean and spacious. Views of the bay were awesome. Had a couple of minor things that we had to reach out to the owner and he was responsive and great to work with. Look forward to staying again!

Great area & development, nice place

The family and I were looking for a brief getaway for 3 days and found this place near Bethany Beach, Delaware. The place is how its shown - roomy, clean and quiet (off season). Great communication with owner and we look forward to coming back to this place and to the area in the future!

Condo unit #71 on the marina

We very much enjoyed our week at the condo on the marina. Beautiful location calm and quiet pet friendly and had the use of kayaks. Close to beach boardwalk and restaurants. Also quite a few parks wither trails to hike or bike. There were only a few minor problems upon check in (missing light bulbs tv remotes and some other things). Owner was very responsive and helpful most items were taken of the next day. However, living room furniture is past its prime and was uncomfortable. Other than that the bedrooms and living spaces were up to date and very nice. I would definitely stay again.

Bring your boat or jet ski! Lots to do here!

Bethany Marina is a great community with boat docks, a pool and a convenient location. Kayaks were included! We brought our boat and SUP and had fun on the water. We also dropped in crab lines and had fun showing the kids how to catch & release. The beach is a short drive away. Super convenient location near grocery store, liquor store, etc. With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a powder room, there is plenty of room for the family. The furnishings could use updating but we were all comfortable and happy during our stay and would definitely return! John was responsive when we had questions. Thanks!

Absolutely FILTHY

While the size was nice, this place was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY! The last thing you want to do when you first arrive for vacation is clean yet that’s what we had to do. There was hair on and around the toilets as well as toilet bowl rings (gross), black pet hair was everywhere, the living room furniture was uncomfortable and ridden with stains and pet hair. No one wanted to sit on it. The kitchen, kitchen table, and floors were all covered in a sticky film. The bunk beds had food and crumbs on top and was a major safety concern as one of the top knobs where the ladder was was broken off, the upstairs spare bedroom was the worst bed. It was loud, uncomfortable, and the headboard wasn’t attached to the bed frame so it constantly leaned over. The upstairs hall bathroom had a broken toilet seat, the master bathtub had jets covered in mold, all the vent registers were covered in dust, and half the light bulbs were burnt out. We found a soaked rug in the washing machine four days after our arrival and it smelled horrible. The communication between myself and the property manager was ehh. The DVD player we discussed prior to arrival didn’t work and there was no Keurig machine. There needs to be better communication between the owner, property manager, and cleaning crew to make sure the house is in top shape to welcome new guests. I paid a lot of money for this rental and am very disappointed with what we walked in to. We will NEVER return.
