Oceanfront Carriage House Apt. w/ Spectacular Views
This carriage house apartment is located in a very quiet residential area of York Harbor. It is very comfortably furnished with a king-sized bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the loft suitable for younger more agile guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a washer and dryer too. There is a spectacular view of the ocean from either the living room or from the spacious deck.
It is just steps away from the water. Watch the sunrise over the horizon interrupted only by the silhouette of the famed Boon Island Light seven miles off shore. The Nubble Light is to the north and its flashing beacon is mesmerizing after dark. If there is a foggy day you may hear the distant fog horns from up to three lighthouses. Roaring Rock, a large crevasse which makes a thunderous noise when the seas are running from the northeast, is only a couple hundred feet away along the rocky shore and accessible to those nimble on foot.

July & August = $1,500 per week
June & September = $1,200 per week
October thru May = $950 per week (or $225 / night w 2 night min)

Yes, Jim was exceedingly welcoming. It was my wife's birthday and he made the effort to place a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the dining room table with a happy birthday banner hanging nearby. An unexpected delight!Our rental was comfortable, clean and afforded us with beautiful ocean views.

This place is paradise! Very clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. Host was charming and welcoming. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the carriage house is the absolute perfect get away! The views are magnificent! We could see two lighthouses from the porch. We watched sunrises, waves, wildlife, and sunsets. We also enjoyed the grove of trees where we enjoyed the breeze. The town has great little shops and restaurants. This was perfect!

Quiet retreat
This is a wonderful place to get away. The views are good. A storm came by but only made for choppy waves rather than worries of the ocean coming up to the house. I was chilled at entry only as they were trusting the heating system to come up to snuff quickly and it was just short of instantaneous! The blowers for the heating drowned out the sounds of the waves at times but was so reassuring too. The bed was very comfortable and firm. I ventured up to the loft for the view, but had no need to use it. The incredibly friendly and intelligent Airedale Pippa was very welcome. Thank you for a good getaway!

Wonderful!
We had a great experience here. The view was wonderful, the apartment was clean and well stocked in the kitchen. A very nice location a short distance to public beach, restaurants, and points of interest. The owner made checking in extremely easy and answered questions promptly. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful sunrises
We spent a wonderful six days at James and Jan’s carriage house apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some meals but there were many nice restaurants in the area. The York Harbor Inn is highly recommend and within walking distance of the apartment. Across from Inn is the Hartley Mason Reserve with walking trails and lovely views overlooking York Beach. Ogunquit and Kennebuckport are nearby with many stores and restaurants. The Marginal Way is a fun walk. Beaches galore in all the nearby towns.
We most enjoyed just relaxing on the porch and taking in the views right outside the apartment. Nubble Lighthouse and Boone Lighthouse can be seen in the distance. Be sure to get up early to see the spectacular sunrises each morning and hear the crashing waves.
The king bed was comfortable as well as the living room furniture. There is a loft area with twin beds. We did not use the loft, but it had a ocean view. The bathroom was small, but there was plenty of hot water. Lots of towels were provided.
Thank for James and Jan for a wonderful time and being such accommodating hosts. We hope to return.

Exceptional property
A wonderful place to stay in the York/Cape Neddick area! The view and the sound of the surf from the unit were a welcome relaxation. Everything that we could have needed was in the unit, even olive oil and cooking spray for cooking! This apt. is in a perfect, quiet location to enjoy the southern coast of Maine. Thanks Jan and Jim, we will return!

Nice location with a spectacular view
The carriage house was comfortable, cozy and in a nice location with a spectacular view. The house is as described online. I would suggest taking your own toiletries and your own bed linens if you have an allergy to scented laundry products. Overall, it was a great place to stay and the owners were accommodating. The friendly little dog, pippa was so sweet and greeted us in the driveway everyday.

Weekend get a way.
A beautiful location. The sunrise and moonrise every day was just delightful. We had a hawk visit us in the back yard along with blue birds. We needed a quiet break from our hectic summer. This is just what we were looking for.

Fabulous view
We loved our stay at Jim and Jan’s. The view from the deck and living room was fantastic! We could see both the Nubble Light and Boon Island light.
The sights and sounds of the gentle rolling waves was so soothing.
The house was very clean, which is greatly appreciated. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen was great for preparing meals. We were able to keep the place cool with the fans provided (we also brought two of our own).
Our hosts were kind and accommodating. We are very thankful for our fabulous stay.
And we loved York Beach. My husband’s family has been coming here for four generations. It is a quaint family friendly town with lovely beaches.

Heaven on Earth
I had a wonderful vacation here. Jan brought me a bouquet of flowers when I arrived and Jim came right over when I had a question about the tv. The view is amazing and I spent many hours reading on the deck listening to the ocean. Everything was provided for, all you needed was your clothes and a toothbrush. I can't wait to come back next summer.
