Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae

8/10 Good
"This summer, we stayed at multiple hotels, all of which turned out to be good. But my family loved this hotel most. It's a little dated but well maintained. The staff members were professional, very helpful, and friendly. The hotel room was spacious. The laundry room, which had a vending machine, ice maker, and microwave, was very convenient. Minor complaint: I have to say that I don't like that we had to take a step to enter the bathroom (uneven levels which are common in old hotels in Japan). BUT I loved the shower (great water pressure, simplicity, and functionality). Good location: right by JR Okayama Station and the street car; lots of restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"Very professional staff, some of whom (maybe all? I'm not sure) speak English. The hotel lobby has a door directly to a convenience store with food, health and beauty products, and summer supplies such as parasols. My room, while small, had a desk, full bathroom, and plenty of space for my luggage. The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks away from the main Okayama train station, which has both local trains and the Shinkansen. I highly recommend!"

"Bathroom flooded every day. Couldn’t tell if it was the bath or aircon outlet (which the lovely reception guy said), but every time we took a bath there’d be a few centimetres of water on the bathroom floor. Cleared pretty quickly. Still a bit annoying. Hotel is in a great location, close to train station / tram stops / shopping mall. Breakfast buffet standard but reliable. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"The staff was helpful and kind right as we entered the lobby. When for a recommendations for dinner they not only made reservations on our behalf, they wanted to make sure we got there and went out of their way to give us a photo of the place and drew a detailed map for us. The onsen was wonderfull. They had everything one could wish for. 3 bathes: outdoorish, indoor hot and indoor cold. They had all the creams and soaps one could need. The free ice cream at the end of the onsen was the cherry on top. A great free washing machine."
