「The Lake House was beautiful and clean. It was a great spot to start all our adventures traversing the South side of Iceland. We arrived later in the day and had a bit of an embarrassing mix-up with our directions. However, Renate was very nice about us driving into the horse training area, sorry again for that. 「We stayed here six nights while exploring Iceland in March. It was just the four of us, so we could have gone with a smaller place, but this house was just perfect for us. We loved the cozy living room in the evenings and the kitchen had everything we needed to have breakfast and a few dinners at home. 「This was a great house for trips to the Golden circle, and one longer drive to Vik. The kitchen was nice and functional, and or two kids liked their room. You can see the mountain and the power plant from the room, we never managed to your the power plant, next time... Checking in and out requires walking or running to the house if you don't have a means of texting in Iceland. This would normally be fine, but it was a rainy and windy day, so it added a bit of discomfort. Not an issue if you can...

「We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages.」
