The staff were absolutely brilliant. Would help with anything. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. The only thing I would say is they need to put a rail in the shower its very slippy. Also be aware some rooms do not have windows. But I had a lovely stay in Athens. The hotel is very close to everywhere. Also supermarket across the road

Beware of the smell from the donkeys if it’s a warm day on the long walk down to the Old Port.

The way down is not that safe, as the old steps are sometimes slippery. There is also a "service" of going up or down by donkey or horse, and you can stumble on them while descending - my wife got hit by another person's leg, and had to squeeze through a wall and the horse no avoid a harder hit. As one can imagine, with horses comes their faeces along the way.

Lombranos fish restaurant is amazing-fresh and family owned. Very friendly & accommodating. Fresh fish is cooked simply and deliciously! Cable car is great fun too.
