"The hotel is old and worn down. The common areas don't look like they've been updated in decades. There are few facilities and it is very poor value for money."

"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"Kaji, front desk manager was amazing & so helpful -accommodations & meals were wonderful, buses were convenient , about 45 min each way to & from the ski areas"

"Restaurant could have provided a wider selection of ala-carte dishes albeit simple dishes like ramen, donburi, burgers, etc instead of restricting ala-carte dishes to be chosen only from the set menu."

"Room was large and staff were extremely accomodating throughout our entire stay. Overall and extremely enjoyable experience!"

"Wonderful food and onsen. Spacious room."
