Cute Lakeside Getaway
We had some friends getting married in Onekama (and having never been to this part of the state) we’re looking for a good place to bunk up between the festivities. We’re so delighted to have found this property, it was charming, clean and gf an absolutely breathtaking view over the lake. Our host was great at communicating to us and even offered to let us stay for longer than we had booked. Highly recommend this property and a great intro to this cute town!

A little piece of Lake Heaven
If you love lake life... it doesn't get much better than this! The views from you windows, balcony & backyard are Amazing! Our hosts, Jim & Lilian, are out of this world! It really feels like home away from home! They have thought of all the "little" things that make an impactful difference! They are also very responsive to any questions and are very hospitable! The condo is very clean and well kept. The lake is clear and although there is activity (boats, etc.) It is still pretty quiet! It's all soothing wave noise! There are numerous hiking trails nearby or you can make a day trip to Traverse City or Sleepy Bear Dunes! Quiet little community, not much around for groceries, etc. We just drove to Manistee 10-12 minutes away for a Meijer or other stores for our last minute or forgotten items. We look forward to staying here again!

Spacious waterfront condo
We loved our stay at this comfortable and well stocked condo. The second floor location made the lakefront views even more beautiful.

Thank you for your comment Devilyna. We have continuously made significant improvements to this property since acquiring it. Most recently we made major investments in the construction of an additional half bath and greatly improving the view with the addition of a much larger picture window in the living room. Updating the furniture is in our future plans, but I would point out that the furniture is exactly as pictured (except that the comforters on the beds have all been upgraded since the photos were taken). Air conditioning is a future possibility but frankly a lower priority, as we usually have a good lake breeze, cool evenings, and very few extremely hot days.

Great get away
We had so much fun in Onekama (and surrounding cities/towns). The property was perfect: comfortable inside space to sleep and relax, and a great outside space; firepit, chairs, and a swing. Also you get the best of both worlds with some shade and some sun. We brought our own kayaks, and there was a place on site to put them when we were done so we didn't have to trailer them each day. - check out the M22 Grill for diner type cooking with friendly staff. We already have tentative reservations for next year. Jim and Lillian were great to work with, they were very nice and the snacks they left us were a nice touch.

So clean and right on the lake! So nice to wake up to in the morning. Jim was quickly available for all questions and helped me with late check in and check out. Great to work with! Definitely recommended!

Nice place
Our family of 5 had a really good Vacation in Onekama. All the people were very friendly and helpful. This is our fourth trip to Michigan and this one is at the top. We spent the mornings fishing and the afternoons on the beach.

Lovely spot
Lovely sunset views with a very professional host. A great spot for a vacation getaway. We loved it. A couple of notes for perspective renters: -the owner lives immediately downstairs from the unit. They’re not intrusive at all, but this NOT a party place. Which was perfect for my family. —the house’s waterfront isn’t ideal for swimming, but there is a small public beach literally 2 doors down from the property.

Thanks Simon, we hope to see you again! Unfortunately the swim ladders off the dock and the water patio weren’t put in until the week after you left. It’s great for swimming with them in, except for very young children.

Wonderful getaway condo on a lake
Wonderful stay at this adorable condo. On a beautiful lake, Jim (superhost) is very responsive and communicates really well. Jim & wife got us out of a very tight spot. They helped us start a dead car battery. The condo was very well stocked for our stay. The condo was immaculate and charming. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place. Highly recommend this place!

Fabulous location in a gorgeous lake town
We had the best time and the property provided us with everything we needed. The owners are wonderful and easy to communicate with and we loved the welcome basket and little extras they provided. The location on the lake cannot be beat, incredible views and perfect spot for a fall campfire. Easy to drive for day trips to fun towns and lake nearby. Highly recommend, we would stay here again.

Wonderful lake views!
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property! We loved the lake views, paddle boarding in the mornings or evenings, sunsets on the dock, swimming from the property to the beach at the park, going for hikes, and walking around the town! Glen Park was a really great hike nearby. The condo has all the amenities you need and a nice welcome basket that was so handy! The building is a little older and worn, but it is a great value at this price. Thanks!

We had a lovely time coming back to Jim and Lillian's place for our vacation. They're friendly and was always available if we had questions. It was significantly clean! Sweet welcome basket! Perfect space for us. I would recommend it highly!

Beautiful condo on the lake
My fiance and I really enjoyed spending a month at Jim's condo! It's in a great location with a beautiful view of Portage Lake and a quick walk to the town of Onekama, as well as a quick drive or bike ride to Lake Michigan. Jim and his wife were very friendly and easy to communicate with. It was also a great place to have a dog, as they were very pet friendly. Definitely recommend staying here!

Even Under Hard Times...
Mr. & Mrs. Whitney were gracious hosts and very helpful. We were up in Onekema for not the best circumstances, but they made us feel right at home! Their condo is a fun little place, and accommodated us nicely. I would love to see the place in the summer. I'll bet it is just gorgeous. There is not a better location in Onekama!!
Everything was as good, or even better than described on Vrbo. Hosts were very cordial; view was magnificent! Condo was clean, and had every appliance and and kitchen gadget imaginable. Great place to stay!

Jim and Lillian are the most gracious hosts. Very nice, friendly and totally available and welcoming. They provide all the special amenities and touches. Condo is very comfortable and has an absolutely beautiful water view. Also, a very comfortable area for outdoor activities and seating right at the water. Will definitely stay again.

Exceeded all expectations!
What a perfect vacation experience! From the welcoming communications, to the personal arrival greeting, our hosts made sure my family had the best vacation ever! Anticipating our needs, and being always ready with a greeting, offer to use their ‘toys’ and their cheerful personalities, we felt right at home instantly. The condo is so spacious, and has everything you could possibly need. Clean, comfortable, and a deck view worth a million bucks! We loved being able to enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the beautiful lakefront area, which boasts fire pits, porch swing, dining area and all just steps away from our back door. You won’t be disappointed in any part of your experience, and like us, will book a return trip for next vacation as soon as you return home! ( PS- an added bonus is fantastic neighbors who live in other unit! We enjoyed their welcoming and kind spirit toward us ‘ visitors’!! Until next year, thank you Jim and Lillian!

Amazing lake views!
Our expectations were exceeded from the moment we arrived! We were greeted by the owner, Jim, and he assisted us with our luggage and showed us around the condo. There was everything we needed for our stay and then some! The size was perfect for our family of 4, much larger than the pictures show. The view of the lake is so beautiful! There is a park within walking distance with a playground and beach access; our kids loved going over there. We had access to bikes, a kayak, a grill and fire pit; wood included. Even though there was internet access and a TV, we spent the majority of the day outside enjoying the weather and accommodations. We look forward to renting again!

Gorgeous Lake View
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the condo. The accommodations were very comfortable. I was surprised by the size of the condo. It is more spacious than the pictures appear. Everything you could need is in the condo along with a washer and dryer which was extremely helpful with young children on the trip. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, bringing floats for the water and blankets to sit on in the grass. The view is gorgeous and the deck is perfect for sitting on to sip a cup of coffee in the morning. We will definitely book this place again if we return to Onekama!
