First and foremost, Tim, the property manager was speedy in all email responses, answered all my questions, and was super nice. Great customer service from the very start. It's kind of nerve wracking to book a place in an unfamiliar area to begin with but Tim totally took the time to answer everything for me. We booked one week at this property, "Home Base 2" in Oneonta for my son's Cooperstown tournament. We had the upper level of this home. The bottom level was rented by a family from our team which was nice and a great perk was that since we referred that family to book, we got a $50 referral credit which Tim issued to us within ONE HOUR of their booking. The main entrance was shared but there were separate doors with locks to the bottom level and the upstairs to our place. Very secure so even if someone that youdo not know rents either below or above you, you seriously would never know because it's so quiet and secure. The unit had 3 huge spacious rooms all with big screen TVs, air conditioners that worked great in EACH room, and A/C in the dining room, and the living room too. IT was super hot and muggy in Onenonta the week we went which was August 14-20 and those air conditioners did their job and kept us cool to the point where we had to wear sweatshirts inside. Very nice! There is one bathroom which was big with a shower and tub. the water was super hot all the time and also a big deluxe washer and dryer was in that bathroom too. (The bottom unit is also has their own washer and dryer too). The kitchen is updated with all stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, with all dishes, utensils, cups, a drip coffee maker, etc. The living room had two big couches and you have Direct TV in all rooms too. THis place wouild easily hold 3 families and maybe even 4 because of all the air conditioners and TVs in each large room where everyone could have their own space/privacy after returning from watching their son play baseball. We were at All Star Village which was only 3 miles away. Very convenient. There is a WalMart, JC Penny, TJ Maxx, Dicks Sporting Goods, Wendy's, only ONE mile away. We went to WalMart almost daily to buy groceries and snacks and waters for the boys's cabins. There is a large dining room area as well with a big dining table. There is a very nice balcony on the 2nd level too where we would sit and relax after the games. Tons of good restaurants and oh, there is a Duncan Donuts and a KFC literally across the street.
