Terrible Service and Filthy Carpets
When we arrived at the house, the internet was not working and the pool and hot tub we paid $653 to have heated would not heat. We stayed at the house for 19 days, and Florida Vacation Homes never did anything to fix either issue. It may not seem like a big deal for the internet to not work, but when all five TV's advertised in the house require internet because the house does not offer any cable or satellite service, you can't stream anything without internet. Even our Xbox was worthless without an internet connection. So much for a theater room!
I spent four hours on tech support calls with the internet company and another half day waiting for the internet repair technician on the 8th day. Fortunately, he was able to get the internet fixed for our two remaining weeks. Again Florida Vacation Homes and the homeowner did nothing to fix the internet. I had to call tech support, schedule the repair, and waste my vacation time to get the internet fixed. The cable had been cut in the service box outside the house.
I called or emailed Florida Vacation Homes every day for 19 days about getting the pool/hot tub heat fixed. They twice told me a technician had repaired the issue, but he obviously didn't test his repairs because it was never fixed. The hot tub is designed to heat more than the pool only while the bubble are on. But as soon as you turn on the bubbles, the hot but begins to drain. You get 15-20 minutes of lukewarm water from the hot tub jets, but then the jets go cold and you have to turn off the bubbles for the hot tub to refill. It's the dumbest, most worthless hot tub system I've ever seen.
I purchased a thermometer and took many videos and pictures showing Florida Vacation Homes the fact that it never worked. They have been completely radio silent on why they never fixed the pool/hot tub heat. I had to dispute the $653 charge to my credit card because they were unwilling to refund my heated pool fee.
I would never rent from Florida Vacation Homes again, and I would strongly recommend not renting SR 929 Hart Manor property.
Lastly, I was lied to by the sales person who told me the house was just remodeled in February 2021, and that we would be one of the first renters to use it. That's a joke! The carpets are filthy and were absolutely not recently replaced. Find any other property or rental company besides this one.
