- very lackluster reception upon arrival. Girl at the desk said maybe 2 sentences to me. Took my passport and handed me my key.
- Elevator scratched with graffiti. Lots of graffiti like damage to other parts of the hotel
- Room smelled like grandma’s closet
- Every 5-10 minutes high speed train will rush by. Tracks about 200 yards from the hotel
- A/C not working and hot in the room. Nice and cool outside but no fly screens on the window and tons of mosquitoes. And the trains would be even louder with window open.
- Paint chipping off the walls
- Window/door loose and won’t latch fully. Rattled all night long
- Between the hotel and the train tracks there is some kind of repair yard with workers pounding and making various noises
- Breakfast in the basement. Dry cake and juice from concentrate.
- Other “guests” walking through the hall to their room yelling and singing. Slamming their door
- Paper thin walls. Person in room next door talking on phone via speaker phone and I can hear every word clearly
- Paid for a double bed, but got two twin beds pushed together with a split in the middle. No way to sleep in the middle
- parking area is a dirt lot
- Restaurant connected to the hotel not open. Probably a good thing actually
- Tried to plan my day in centro storico but the Wi-Fi continuously drops connection and is slow
- Avoid this hotel at all costs. Pay more and stay up in Orvieto old town
