Lovely Location

Spent a lovely week at the property, ideal location with the beach and bar being on your doorstep. Good communication with Kentigern our host, Few minor things let the property down as advertised with parking but then when we arrived were told not to park on the drive. Rear garden could do with a tidy as not appealing for a BBQ, inside the house could benefit from a deep clean as a lot of cobwebs in the beams and behind furniture. Nothing that spoilt our holiday though as we were enjoying the weather outside☀️. Ideal location for visiting war memorials.

Eine schöne Zeit im Grande Maison

Der Concierge-Dienst war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider ging der Wäschetrockner am zweiten Tag defekt. Ärgerlich war, dass die Besitzer keine Reparatur veranlassten (trotz der vertraglichen Zusage).Bei 4 Kindern davon 2 Kleinkinder ein unnötiges Ärgernis. Entgegen der Beschreibung war das Parken in der Einfahrt nicht gewünscht. Lage und Blick auf das Meer waren wie versprochen sehr gut.Das machte die Unannehmlichkeiten wett.

Tolles Haus mit Meerblick

Great stay in Ouistreham

Property was better than in the add. Location is superb. The town of Ouistreham had everything we wanted, and it was located perfectly in the heart of Normandy.

Superb property let down by furniture and maintenance

First impression of property from the road was excellent, dissappointing rear garden needed maintenance, BBQ not useable as no grille, old and rusty. Interior of property downstairs, door handle to bathroom fell off, but didn't work anyway as no tongue to latch, same as second double bedroom, shower head blocked and shower attachment on riser does not stay up so you have to hold it. No bulbs in light in third bedroom with single beds, there was still rubish on the floor of that room even though we arrived after the 4pm time. Upstairs all the lounge furniture is old, uncomfortable and sub standard, with normal bedding pillows and quilts covering it. The smallest TV I've seen for many years, lights not working upstairs on the mezannine, various bulbs not working in lounge area. We had an email 12 hours before we arrived informing us that bedlinnen and towel were not included, too late for us to bring any as we were already in Portsmouth that evening for the early ferry the next day. Bed matresses were not box sprung as stated and were just foam. Departure was stated in the book as 12 o'clock, we were then informed the night before we had to leave by 11 am. Kitchen was OK. Sorry to leave bad feedback, never have before and have stayed in France previously many times. It is such a shame as the house and location was superb and had it not been let down by the abovementioned we would have been happy to recommend it to friends. Richard Simpson

Belle maison ( surout Interieur) avec acces a la plage ! 10 personnes qui s’entendend bien vont bien l’aimer!;-), c’etait le cas Chez nous et on va revenir un jour! Merci!

Location, Location, Location. You can’t get closer without a houseboat. The view from the upstairs living/ ding room and kitchen straight out to sea is unbeatable and sitting at the breakfast table or playing cards in the evening to the sound and view of the sea was why we came. Right next to a boat ramp you get to watch the locals put in and out. And far enough away from Ferry activity to barely notice it. Once you get over the fact that the bedrooms are on the ground floor with full doors opening out toward the street in the master (and no lock on the front gate) and figure out how to mange the old-fashioned shutters, you can listen to the waves through the shutter slits through the night as well. Our son loved sleeping up in the loft in the „open“ bedroom. We were there at the end of Aug and the ground floor tiles were very cold at night, not sure how showering in late October on the ground floor would go. But the renovation is truly charming and fits the flair of Ouistreham. The concierge service was unfortunately difficult and „forgot“ to tell us to potentially expect people to come through the front gate to do further renovations on the guesthouse. Disturbing and unnecessary, had there been information passed. I found it a little strange to bring my own sheets and very odd to put out the trash on Sunday night with what smelled and weighed like 3 weeks worth of previous renters waste. The house was clean „enough“ and we enjoyed our vacation.

Merci tout simplement merci .Accueil professionnel et sympathique de notre hôtesse.

Maison très confortable, super séjour avec nos petits enfants au nombre de 6, de 10 à 16 ans, venus pour faire du char à voile. Séjour donnant sur la mer , maison bien insonorisée. Quelle belle vue! Je n’en dis pas plus car nous aimerions y revenir une prochaine fois !

Agréable séjour

Les plus : L'architecture intérieure est très agréable. L'équipement est complet (sans plus) L'électroménager est de bonne facture Tout fonctionne ! Vue mer sans faire un pas, accès mer à 20 pas Les moins : L'extérieur immédiat et l'ameublement ne sont pas à la hauteur de la prestation Le coût du ménage est prohibitif pour le rendu En résumé : on passe un bon séjour mais le rapport qualité/ prix mérite amélioration.

Mooie villa direct aan het strand

Een fijn huis, lekker licht ingericht. De kamer op de vide heeft wat minder privacy en de kamer met de stapelbedden is klein en heeft niet zoveel kastruimte. Ook was het met onze grote groep even puzzelen wie wanneer de douche kon gebruiken. Maar het uitzicht is fantastisch en het is heerlijk dat je de (rustige) weg oversteekt en meteen met je voeten in het zand staat, of een koffie of snack kan halen bij het tropische K'bane strandtentje. De beheerder Sylviane is heel vriendelijk en lost een eventueel probleem snel op. We hebben een topweek gehad!

Super Lage und 1A-Wohbereich mit Traumaussicht aufs Meer...

...einziges Manko: es gibt nur ein großes Bad mit Wanne, das aber OHNE WC, sowie ein kleines Bad mit Dusche und WC und noch ein separates WC. Deshalb bietet sich das Haus trotz 3-er Schlafzimmer (ein weiteres liegt offen im Loft über dem Wohnraum) nicht für mehrere ("fremde") Familien eignet

Family stay in July

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious house, right across the street from the beach. The house was very clean, the views of the beach and sunsets beautiful. The only problem we came across was the hot water heater, which had to be reset almost every day. Apart from that, everything was great and we keep fond memories of this stay.

Vue exceptionnelle mais trop de "petits" problèmes

Maison de vacances très agréable avec un service de conciergerie très efficace (merci). Dommage, la chaudière a eu des défaillances tout au long du séjour, nous avons donc pris plusieurs douches froides. Et dommage aussi que les occupants de la petite maison louée dans la même propriété (à côté de la maison) aient fait une grosse fête le vendredi soir, veille de notre départ. Je n'avais pas prévu d'appeler les gendarmes pour tapage nocturne à 2h du matin pendant mes vacances!

Vue mer et plage

Merci à Mme Chrétien pour sa ponctualité et sa disponibilité (problème de chauffage). Cette maison est très bien située, lumineuse et bien équipée ; cependant la baignoire ne peut être considérée comme douche (inondation de la salle de bains en perspective). Je pense ambitieux de vouloir y accueillir 10 personnes. Un gros bémol pour le jardin sans charme, pas aménagé et dont le mobilier devrait être rénové. Le plus de cette maison : la vue mer de toute la partie vie commune et la proximité de la plage.
