Award winning historic ocean front home with beautiful Spanish revival decor overlooking Monterey Bay. Gather around the fire pit and watch whales, seals, sealions, otters, dolphins and deer from the traditional Talavera tiled patio. Ideally situated for walking to Pacific Grove, Cannery Row, Monterey Aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf. Fine dining, bars and shopping are a short stroll away. Convenient access for 17 mile drive, Carmel and Big Sur. A spectacular home in a World famous location.

The lower level of this duplex is a luxury vacation rental offering 2 spacious bedrooms with king size beds and 2 full bathrooms.The unit sleeps up to 4 people and also includes a living/dining room, gourmet kitchen, ocean front patio with fire pit and seating area.

The location and amenities are spectacular. Richard and Jane are friendly accommodating, and responsive hosts. We truly enjoyed staying at their wonderful home. It is comfortable and inviting. The views are spectacular. and watching the ocean waves and seals on the beach with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail at night with a fire pit to keep you warm is very relaxing. We cannot wait to book our next visit here.

Wow, what a find, right on the ocean. Very well appointed and had everything you need, like at home! Owner lives upstairs and was very helpful with checkin and details about the property. We will stay again here when visiting the area. Oh, the Monterey Aquarium is within walking distance.

Beautiful home! Plenty of room for 4 adults. We used the outdoor gas fire pit everyday! The property manager reached out to provide restaurant suggestions and site-seeing information, and to make sure all our needs were meant. We hope to stay here again! Excellent!

Jane and her husband wonderful hosts who went above and beyond the call of duty when I lost a piece of jewelry deep beneath a crevice in floorboard. Amazing stay on the water!

This home is beautiful and relaxing and we had a wonderful time on the patio by the fire watching the otters every evening. The house is walkable to the aquarium and the heart of Monterrey. Jane is an amazing host and very helpful and responsive. The pictures are exactly as described and we will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We loved our stay here! The house is beautiful, clean, cozy, and comfortable. You can take in the views of the bay from the comfort of the living room or step out onto the front porch, light the fire pit, and take in otters, seals, and if you’re lucky some whales. The location was great for exploring the area on foot or a short drive to iconic scenery like The Lone Cypress at Pebble Beach. The property owners/managers are extremely friendly and made us feel right at home.

Perfect spot!

We loved this house! Great views of the bay and wildlife-otters and seals everyday plus birds and whales! The house was so clean and very quiet-the best sleep of our vacation! Jane was extremely helpful and flexible. Their home is an 8 minute walk to restaurants or the aquarium. Neighborhood is very quiet and parking is easy! We’d definitely stay again!

Doesn't Get Better than This

Really great location in easy walking distance of Monterrey Aquarium and many excellent restaurants. Magnificent view right out the front windows. The house is beautiful and everything worked as advertised. Especially enjoyed the outdoor firepit which made sitting outdoors in the evening warm and pleasant.

a short visit to Monterey

Terrific! We have visited Monterey several times over the past few years as our daughter is at school in the bay area. This is the best place we stayed. It is a very comfortable layout with two nice bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Nice kitchen, comfortable living area. But the best thing is location. The patio area looks right out at Monterey Bay and the fire pit there was warm and made it so inviting to sit out in the evenings and listen tot he sounds of the bay. The indoor fireplace was also great. A super nice place to stay for a small family or two couples. We'll stay again!
