Escape to "The Retreat," a beautifully updated historic beach cottage in the heart of Pacific Grove, offering an AMAZING LOCATION that puts you steps from everything! Originally built in 1908 within the charming Pacific Grove Retreat, this home blends rich history with every modern convenience for a cozy, comfortable, and unforgettable getaway. Pacific Grove STR #0084.

Step inside to an inviting open floor plan where the living room seamlessly flows into the fully stocked kitchen. Relax by the huge gas fireplace, enjoy your favorite shows on the Smart Samsung TV with streaming apps, and take in the abundant natural light from the soaring ceilings and skylights. The dining room opens directly to a private deck, creating an incredible indoor-outdoor living experience. Here, you'll find an outdoor living room with another huge gas fireplace, an outdoor eating area, BBQ, and for ultimate relaxation, a hot tub and outdoor shower.

Upstairs, a spacious living room loft provides additional comfortable seating, another Smart Samsung TV, and a third gas fireplace. Need to catch up on some work? An adjustable standing desk is also available.

The home features two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen bed. The master bathroom offers a bathtub shower, while the second bathroom boasts a luxurious steam shower.

You'll rent directly from the owner, ensuring personalized communication with me and my local house manager. I love sharing my home with guests eager to experience all that Pacific Grove has to offer.

You simply can't beat this location! Everything you desire is within easy reach: stroll to downtown for charming restaurants and shops, or head to Lovers Point Beach for sun and sea. The Pacific Grove Golf Course is nearby, and the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium and historic Cannery Row are just a mile away on the scenic beach trail. Day trips to Carmel for shopping, Pebble Beach for golfing, or Big Sur for breathtaking hikes are all easy drives. Or, simply stay in and unwind in the hot tub, read a book by a cozy fire, and truly relax.

Please note: The Pacific Grove Retreat is a historic, close-knit neighborhood. While we want you to fully enjoy your stay, this property is not suitable for parties. We strictly observe the guest maximum of 4 and strive to be good neighbors by maintaining a peaceful environment. Margaret's property was exactly as described. Super clean, had great amenities and so close to everything you want to walk to in Pacific Grove. We parked the car and never got back into it for a couple of days. Highly recommend.

Great location, fun place to stay for families, very kind and responsive host. There were some things that needed repair, but it was overall a lovely and well-appointed home. We enjoyed the backyard amenities, our boys loved the loft living room, and we walked or biked to most things for the duration of our stay.

Great house for our family of 4 with a toddler and infant. The location was perfect, right in town, walking distance to food, groceries, shops, the beach, and we even walked along the beach trail to the aquarium! Would definitely stay again!

Cute Getaway in Pacific Grove

Margaret's property is clean & comfortable and well maintained by Frank her property Manager. The location is wonderful - close to beach, walking trails, awesome dining & lovely shops in PG. Very close to both Monterey & Carmel-by-the-Sea.

My daughter was attending a soccer camp at Stevenson School, and in the meantime we stayed at this wonderful, cute house. It is a perfect place to stay. It is walking distance to Lovers' Point, Mondays Farmers Market, the Monterey Aquarium, Fisherman Wharf, a lot of restaurants, and all the beautiful trails around. You can rent an e-bike and explore the town. Besides that, it is a very comfortable, cute, place to stay. PLUS it has washer and dryer, which it is super convenient when going on vacation.

We love this house and have stayed twice. It’s remodeled nicely, walking distance to the beach and downtown shopping. Kitchen is large and fully stocked. We also enjoy the back patio grill, fireplace & jacuzzi. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, modern interior with exterior charm. Two blocks away from Lover’s Point park and the amazing walking paths, the location could not be better. Monterey, Carmel, and Point Lobos wonderfully convenient. Houses are close together, but noise was never an issue…except for the occasional gathering of seagulls, which always brought a smile. Margaret, the owner, was so responsive and helpful with recommendations about everything from whale watching to dinner. We followed her suggestions and highly recommend doing the same. Laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with a drip coffee maker made the day to day so easy. If she will have us, my husband and I can’t wait to come back :).

We were in love with this house that is perfectly located close to the beach in PG. The check in process and communication with the host was easy and quick to respond. The house features were exactly as listed and met our expectations. We cannot wait to be back with another couple and also do a getaway with our kids.
