“My family and I had a great stay here! JP and his associates welcomed us and made us feel at home. Complimentary breakfast was great and the other meals were delicious. The room itself was great given you are in the jungle, so there was no a/c and typical sugar ants but nothing unexpected. The pool and the views were gorgeous. The hot tub was down while we were there but it wasn’t missed. We took advantage of the Lake Tour and La Tia’s massage services which were both worth the money. We……

We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. “Our family had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. The views are truly outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of different activities while in the area, but cooked all our meals in the room. The kitchenette is basic, but we managed just fine. The included breakfasts were a highlight - plentiful, fresh, homemade and delicious! We heard howler monkeys and saw toucans from the balcony! Don’t hesitate to book this property if you want a unique, beautiful, and peaceful place to stay while touring around……

“The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.”

“The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again.”

“We only stayed one night when travelling through, but wished we would have had more time to enjoy the horse riding and ziplines. The dinner and breakfast was prepared for us by wonderful staff, and they catered for vegan, vegetarian and carnivores in our family group, including our 2-yr old grandson. “Just a heads up for English speaking travelers, that only one peraon who worked there spoke a little English, which is understandable but just an fyi. It made check-in a little difficult. The shower did not really work. I was only there for a day. It is nice for a more rugged kind of place. A little run down, but unique. The people where nice and helpful despite the language barrier. Again, I am not saying the people who live in rual Costa Rica should know how to speak English of course, but……
