Summer Vacation

This condo was horrible!!! The ceiling leaked and the balcony door was broken and did not open. Cabinet doors did not stay closed. Curtains and ceiling has mold. Furniture is dirty and several items were broken. There is a wooden block under the bed frame in the second bedroom. Too much to mention here. The property was nice but this unit is so old and not well maintained. Skip this unit at all costs!!!

Lots of fun

Great location with lots to do. Condo had amazing view, but in need of updating. Kitchen was lacking in the amenities. No beach towels or chairs.

Would give ZERO stars on condition if possible.

The online listing and photos do not convey the terrible condition of this property. The photos were either taken a long time ago or have been doctored. The unit was filthy when we arrived. While looking for a plug for phones we discovered a dirty spoon and rotten food down the wall and behind the night stand along with an empty beer can and previous renter’s liquor store reciepts. The second bedroom queen bed frame was broken and the matress was completely shot. The bed had blocks of wood shoved underneath it to “try” and fix it. The floors were absolutely filthy up and downstairs. The coffee pot had mold growing in it. The upstairs bedroom had not even been touched by cleaning crew. There were popsicle sticks, parmesan cheese packets on the floor and under the bed. The mattress had pee stains all over it and there were finger nail clippings on the countertop bar area. The light bulbs in several of the lamps were out and we had to rob them out of closets because there is no overhead lights in the unit. The property management company tried to help by bringing a new coffee pot, a blow up mattress for my elderly parents, and the cleaning crew came to reclean but only touched the upstairs room & bathroom. We had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean the rest of the unit in order to feel comfortable staying there. The second day there maintenance came and put more blocks under the queen bed to try and fix it, but no mattress. The third day there they brought a new mattress.

Love Edgewater

We loved staying at Edgewater. The condo had plenty room for all 8 of us. Hardly any wait for elevators which was great. Our only complaints were the floors turned our feet black and the bed was terrible on my back. We all wished for firmer beds. Location was great and condo well stocked.

Lots of little things

The resort was very strict on the pool and it's use. (not the fault of the room itself) There were little things in the condo that were disappointing. No hairdryer, broken closet door, non working lamp, tv remotes didn't work, leaky refrigerator upstairs. We did have quite a bit of bad weather while we were there, which meant more time spent in our room.

Great resort, comfy beds

The beds were great, the view is amazing, resort has tons to offer. Edgies convenient store onsite was open even in December, the golf course was challenging and fun, the outdoor hot tubs were on in winter which is rare. Most other PCB resorts turn off their outdoor hot tubs in winter. The outdoor heated pool was very warm and has a neat waterfall. The unit was cool with a second story bedroom and patio. However the dishwasher did not work. The communication with the owner was good, they offered to come fix it. Unit had some folding chairs, boogie boards, and beach toys. I would stay here again.

Love Edgewater

Condo was clean. One set of sliding doors were very difficult to open so we just used the other set off living room. Not a huge deal. There was no shower curtain or shower curtain rings in master bathroom but there was a rod so I purchased a cheap curtain and rings and left it at the condo. Towel bar in master bath broken. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable stay as we always do at Edgewater

Awesome time!

We had a really good time! Some things in the room needed minor work and touch ups. But over all we enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again with you guys. My daughter and her friend somehow managed to break their wrist bands. I have no idea how, but you know how kids are. Thank you guys for allowing us to stay in your resort! It was greatly appreciated and enjoyed!

Great Place to Stay

I booked this condo last minute bc our trip to Mexico got canceled, and we needed something short notice. I booked it before I read the reviews. So, needless to say, once I had paid already, I started to read the reviews. They sounded horrible, and I was certain our trip was going to be just as bad. But, once we got in the condo, it was great! It was not dirty, it smelled amazing! The a/c did not leak not one time, and the dryer and microwave worked perfectly! The view was amazing! I loved seeing the pool and the ocean. The only thing that I could complain about was that the mattresses were not very comfortable, they had a dip in the middle. The TV in the living area worked perfectly. I did not even try to other TV's. The Master Bathroom does not have a shower curtain, but we did not mind. The furniture on the main balcony was decent and usable. The upstairs balcony had 3 lounge chairs that were nice, the table was warped, but again, we didnt have a need for it. All in all it was a win and would definately stay here again.

Pictures are deceiving and it needs some attention from management

To be completely honest, we didn’t have a very good experience with this unit. The pictures were clearly taken a long time ago! The dryer doesn’t dry, no parking passes were left for us. We were then asked to pay sn additional fee for parking and told we would be refunded which didn’t happen. The accommodations in this unit have been heavily used. A stair tread with nails was laying exposed by the stairs. There is a light fixture on the upper balcony with exposed wires hanging out. There are light bulbs burnt out. There are several rusted out, damaged chairs, one on each balcony. The lower balcony has no functional chairs remaining. The air vents are filthy, hand prints on the tin ceiling areas. The shower curtains are covered in mold. There’s a duct taped off electrical outlet in the mirror wall in the living room. The main sliding glass door had papers and several kleenex’s jammed in the door slider to seal it because it leaks so badly and the door doesn’t open properly, the door also doesn’t close properly. I could unfortunately go on.. We’ve had so many wonderful experiences with VRBO in Panama City and so this one is definitely an anomaly. We contacted management on all of the issues and though they apologized they didn’t rectify any of the issues.

Great views of the gulf

My family and I stayed in this unit. The property manager was great to deal with. They allowed us to check in early since the unit was already clean. The downside was that there was no water to the unit. The previous guests broke the master bath water spout, and because of that the water was turned off. We were not told about this initially upon check in. We didn't have water in the unit from 10am until I called at 5, which someone did come turn on the water so we could use the bathroom. The next day about 5pm the master bath was fixed so we could use that shower. The a/c does leak, they say it is just condensation, so we did put a towel down for the 10 days we were there. the upper deck area is amazing, but there are no real chairs out there to eat on the deck or really enjoy it. The dryer does work, but does not heat/dry well. We did small loads and still had to turn the dryer on about 4 times for them to be dry. They were quick about bringing extra bands, parking passes and towels that were not in the room. The views are amazing, the resort is quiet and clean, but there are some obvious issues that need addressed and updated.

Beautiful views

Overall, this unit is really great. There were plenty of property bands for usage. Lots of space, couple of beach chairs to use. Down side- the dryer doesn’t really “work”. It runs and has heat.. BUT I had to consistently restart loads, sometimes 4 times, to finally dry and all the clothes throughout the week smelled like mildew. Housekeeping also forgot To leave extra blankets and pillowcases. That aside, I would definitely return here. We always love staying at Edgewater 👍🏻👍🏻❤️

Family Vacation

We definitely will not be staying in this unit again. Upon our arrival which was after check in time our condo had not been cleaned. It was a mess from the previous people that had stayed there. It was about two hours later before it was finished being cleaned after we had contacted Emerald Coast Destinations. There was dripping in the hallway our entire week that soaked towels daily. The master bed was awful and you can feel the springs. The TV in the master didn't work. Electrical outlets throughout the entire condo didn't hold plugs. The plugs would fall out of them. The curtains in the living area aren't blacked out. The laundry room panel didn't close all the way. The dryer took multiple rounds to dry a small amount of clothes. The front door wouldn't close all the way and it would get stuck. The pictures showed the large table on the big deck with chairs all around it - there were zero chairs with it. There were very nice lounge chairs up there but then there were several very random inside chairs that they had put outside. No chairs at the bar in the kitchen. We had a great time as usual but we were very disappointed in this condo for the amount of money we spent on the penthouse. It's obvious the owners are either not going down and checking out their condo or the property managers don't care about the complaints they are having.
