Location is great! Condo OK, communication not great
LOCATION: We loved the location because we were right on the beach and we weren't sharing the beach with 100's of others from other condos.
CONDO: I read reviews so I knew not to expect too much from this condo. We were disappointed with several things which could easily be fixed w/o too much cost. There were large blinds missing in the front bedroom which caused the hall light to shine in that bedroom all night long which disturbed our daughter and her husband's sleep. There were tiles in their bathroom which were loose and the TP holder was totally unusable. We had no hairdryers at all. The lighting in the middle bedroom was one small light on a table. It had no windows so it was very dark. There was a dresser in that room which was nice. The shower door in the master was not easy to use. There is a nice, large closet in the master. The light coverings on the beds were thin like a very thin scarf not a bedspread. There were only 2 blankets for the 3 beds and couch bed. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. They are old as reported but usable. There is a new dishwasher but it falls out from under the counter when you open the door. There is a great new stove/oven. There is a nice set of pots. The frying pans are ok. There are no baking sheets. There is a mixer and a blender. The silverware is nice and there is plenty. There are pot holders and utensils. There are nice dishes, cups & glasses.
COMMUNICATION: I had to send a message asking for instructions on how to enter the condo the day before we checked in. After I received that I did not receive any answers to my questions and calls. The MAIN ISSUE was with the beach chairs and umbrella. All of the information given on VRBO and given to me the day before we checked in said that chairs and umbrella rental was included and very easy to find. We just had to pick from the chairs and umbrellas set up and if asked tell the man which condo we are in. This was not the case at all. We did not have an umbrella or chairs our whole time there. There was a set of 4 chairs set up with another condo's number on them. We were told by the chair rental company that condo #230 did not purchase a contract with them this year and everyone has had this same issue. Would have brought chairs with us if we had known this ahead of time. I called and messaged Christopher Miller & I also messaged Marina, our local contact but never heard back. They just need to update their info.
