  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Good but not Great

This unit was good but not great. The overall condition of the unit was decent but dated and in need of a few cosmetic touchups, as was the overall feel of the resort as a whole. The walk to the beach was nice and short and the large beachside pool was fantastic.

Very nice property. Friendly folks and nice location. Needs a little tlc in one of the bathrooms with shower not operational but should be an easy fix.

Beautiful resort

Our family had a wonderful time at Edgewater! The villa had plenty of space for our family of 5, plus grandma and grandpa. The kitchen was equipped with the necessities, the furniture and decor was all very nice, and it was wonderful having a washer and dryer in the unit. The turtle pond in the back provided a peaceful place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings. The poolside beach is gorgeous and you can't beat the white sandy beaches. The pier was a short walk down the beach and we were able to see many dolphins swimming. A few suggestions on the villa: the sliding door does not slide well or lock properly. There are not many ceiling lights, so the lighting in the bedrooms and living room is very dim. Also, not having locks on the bedroom or bathroom doors was very inconvenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our week here and hope to be back.
