With some attention it could be a great place

We have been staying at the Edgewater for the last 10 plus years. The amenities are fantastic. This room hosted great views and provided a layout that allowed everyone to have their own space. On a less than pleasant note, many of the tiles are cracked and actually crunch under your feet. The laminate is peeling from the cabinets and the dryer takes two plus hours per load to dry, it is evident that repairs / renovations are needed. The king size bed is on its last limb. With each toss or turn comes great squeaks. Also, some of the drawers are not usable as the handles are broken. I believe there maybe some issue with the HVAC. When it turned on the smell of sewage filled the condo. It was a smell that was so strong that each time you opened the door to access the condo it would turn your stomach. One of the beds had sand in it leading me to believe the sheets were not changed. Also, there were kid handprints all over the mirrored glass behind the couch.

Definitely will book again

Edgewater will forever be our favorite resort, however I will have to say this has been one of the least pleasant experiences I’ve had with them. Between the internet outage our entire stay, a water main busted and we had no water for half a day we made the most of it. And I believe that possibly neither of those issues were actually edgewaters fault. Now for the condo itself. The images are exactly what you will walk into. We had the most beautiful view of the gulf, and just a short walk to the main pool/beach access. We loved the simplicity of the kitchen with modern/updated appliances. Our dislikes for the room were that there wasn’t very much sitting space in the living room for 4 adults and a toddler, comfortably. The room had a terrible odor to it, and we were unable to locate the source (could’ve been an issue at the resort with their plumbing), the hall toilet was constantly running which made for long nights when that’s all you can hear when you’re falling asleep, and lastly the king bedroom could use a mattress upgrade and some screws tightened on the frame as it felt like we were sleeping on the floor for our entire stay and the bedframe squeaked at the slightest movement. But absolutely this is no fault to the management company/owner. We did not address anything other than the internet outage/water issue as they were the only issues that hindered our stay with a toddler. I truly think will a few very minor updates this will definitely be a room we book again!
