“Perfect location for a stay in the Douro valley. Relatively new hotel with clean cozy rooms and amazing views especially from the pool. More hanging options for the towels next to the shower would be a helpful adjustment. For not single use room lack of privacy when using the bathroom.”

“I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never……

“Way up on the mountainside with a beautiful view of the valley and the Douro River. Valeria is a wonderful host and the place is truly something special. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms fantastic and she thought of every detail. ”

“Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The entire property was exceptionally clean, from the rooms to the common areas, and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining everything to a very high standard. “Great view from the room and the cafeteria/restaurant. The mountain and the river behind are spectacular. The room itself is quite nice and big as well. However, the only public transportation to get to the hotel is by bus. Even it is only three minutes walk to downtown, still strongly recommend to rent a car if you would like to explore more in the neighborhood. The hotel has its own underground parking lot. So it is not a problem for parking.”
