「Simple, rustic building with loads of charm and character. Nice hot shower, warm cosy bedrooms with comfortable beds. Right in the middle of the village with the taverna opposite. We had a great dinner there and walked back down our cobbled path to our stone hideaway. The entire village is very scenic with stone towers and cobbled streets wherever you turn. Will try to visit this area again!」

「An idyll. A must. Pirgos Mavromichali is a beautiful, calm place to stay, and from which to explore the Deep Mani. But it’s very hard not to just stay all day and night in the hotel with its wonderful food and welcoming, warm staff. 」

Just an example: when they took note that I loved the pears I got one day for breakfast, they not only got in touch with the dealer who sells the pears from time to time on the market, but also gave me some pears for my trip back. And of course they had a lot of excellent advice on the best beaches, restaurants, etc. 」

「Anaxo Resort isn’t super easy to get to but it is well worth the effort. It’s not hard to get to really, the road is a little narrow and windy but manageable It is a gorgeous place. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchen and the beds and showers are super comfy. The staff is great - super friendly and helpful. The pool and the bar are fantastic. 」
