This is a super cute apartment in a central location with easy access to popular sites, grocery and transportation. I felt safe. The only downside, there is a school behind the courtyard and the kids are very noisy!
We really enjoyed spending time at the apartment loft and also found it so easy to walk or Metro anywhere. Lots of great shopping, eating, and the museums are nearby.
The bedroom/bathroom is a little tight for tall people, but the sitting area, kitchen and courtyard areas are wonderful. We would certainly stay again. Also very quiet considering the activity out on the streets!
After reading all the reviews, the 1 star review convinced us to stay here. The apartment is down a long interior cobble stone path which entered into an interior courtyard. The apartment was on the ground floor. Although there were garbage cans at the entrance they were kept very clean and tidy. There was a guy outside the entrance to the building cutting hair on the street from time to time, it was charming to see. Inside the building it was very quiet, once outside it was bustling. The location was within walking distance to anywhere we wanted to be, on days the weather wasn't great, the metro was super convenient.
If we had one complaint with the apartment it was a little small for our liking.
We enjoyed 5 nights at this unique property in the heart of the Le Marais neighbourhood. It was a quick walk to restaurants, shopping and sites such as Notre-Dame and The Louvre. There were also numerous Metro stations and bus stops nearby for any sites further afield and RER was also handy for our return to the airport. The flat was very clean, comfortable and exactly as pictured. Grégory was very nice and easy to deal with for the reservation and check in process. Everything worked as expected. It was nice to have a bit of extra space, including the lovely courtyard (though we didn't get to use it much due to some inclement weather). The only drawbacks were a noisy school just over the courtyard wall (only on school days, of course and it was quiet by 6pm) and someone in the courtyard had a party one night (though it was just lots of loud talking and it was shut down by another neighbour shortly after midnight). Overall I would highly recommend this location and would definitely stay here again.

This property was located near plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and metro stations. It was very comfortable for a couple and its charm made for a perfect one-week romantic getaway.
A very sweet and well designed apartment tucked away in a courtyard, separating it from a fun Marais neighborhood. One of the hosts, Tom, was fantastic - meeting us there, getting us settled, giving restaurant and transportation recommendations.
This was a lovely apt in Le Marais, which was so close to everything. We even walked to the Eiffel tower. We did notice they had no ice cube trays- apparentlythe French rarely use ice. Be sure to bring your own shampoo as none is supplied.

Fantastic Location But Hot!
We stayed in this apartment for one week of September 2018. It is small however the location is fantastic as you are one block from the Hotel De Ville across from Norte Dame and we walked everywhere. The are a great many bars and restaurants in this area. The apartment has nice amenities however their is only the small window over the door the opens 6 inches with no cross ventilation. The bedroom is upstairs where it was extremely hot and only one small fan-30 degrees C when we were in Paris. A larger more efficient fan would certainly help. Nothing in the way of detergents, paper towels which we knew ahead of time and brought from our stay in London but you think there would be more that one an a half rolls of toilet paper for a week's stay. Grocery store one block away. Garden area great to have lunch in.
This loft was great for two for a quick weekend stay. We were able to check in early upon request which was very helpful given our overnight flight. The location was great for being right near shops and a very short walk to the metro. Notre Dame was only a 10-15 minute walk and there were tons of name brand shops and cafes nearby. The streets are busy but you don’t hear much noise in the apartment itself. One of the American neighbors was kind enough to give us some recommendations but also let us know most of the other residents in the building have lived there 20+ years so be sure to be quiet and respectful. The only complaint would be how hot it got in the apartment and no basic supplies included in cost. We stayed on a weekend where temps got up to 80F but the place doesn’t have any windows that open so need a fan on you at night abs the door open while home for any air movement. No supplies provided (ie. Hand soap, dish soap, extra trash bags). You can pay extra for cleaning supplies or grab some from a nearby market, but for price soap should at least be included without extra charge.
We visited for Pride in Paris and it was absolutely perfect - wonderful location, walk to everywhere, and a beautiful courtyard. There was a very intense heat wave in Paris during most of our stay, and even though the apartment does not have air conditioning, it was not too bad despite the oppressive heat. The only reasons we would give it a 4 instead of a 5: first, there is a day care center or children's summer camp in the immediate vicinity that generated a thunderous amount of noise on weekdays - nonstop from 9 AM to 7 PM. Visitors would normally be out and about during these hours anyway, but if you wanted to come back for some down-time - forget it. Secondly, I have rented a number of VRBO places in Europe and the US, and never before have I found one that did not stock any basic cleaning products for the kitchen - no dish/hand soap, no paper towels, no sponges, nothing. On check in we were invited to purchase a sponge and two dishwasher tablets for 15 euro. For a property in this price range, I thought that was unconscionable. These, however, are relatively minor complaints. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat - but next time, I'd bring my own sponge! - Doug, Walnut Creek, CA

TERRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT
Location: The Marais is a lovely area but this apartment is located on a seedy street. Lots of graffiti. Man was cutting a woman’s hair on the sidewalk across the street when we arrived. Shabby, peeling street door opens to a long dark passage lined with trash bins. At the end of the passage is the courtyard pictured in the listing. The passage is intimidating, particularly at night. A waiter at the sidewalk cafe across the street advised us to be careful with our luggage and cell phones. “It is not safe”
Apartment:. Dark. One glass entrance door with a small transom window over the very top as pictured in the listing. No other windows. No ventilation. No air conditioning. No fans. No Air.
Misleading: The history of the apartment as stated in the listing is delusional. When we made the reservation the apartment was pictured with red leather chair and leather sofa which is still described in the listing. When we arrived the fine leather furniture was replaced with a blue velvet sofa and a red velvet chair with the stuffing coming out at the bottom. Contrary to our opinion, the agent thought this an unimportant minor detail.
Unsympathetic Agent: The rental agent Guillaume faulted us for the problems and said we should have been sure the apartment suited our needs before committing to a contract even though he was not honest and forthcoming with the information we needed to make a decision. We own a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and know the importance of honest presentation of a property and of guest satisfaction. Guillaume and Vincent have yet to learn this.
NO REFUND. STAY AWAY.

A great home away from home
A warm cosy place near food, wine and transport. It was nice to cook some home meals with a fully functioning kitchen but also visited some good dining places. Minutes to the metro makes this place easy to get to all the highlights of Paris. The shower has been the best so far, just like home. Luggage space is limited but the wardrobe space makes it easy to store clothes. The bed is also comfy. The whole unit is generally presented well with many of the features like the kitchen and bathroom being very modern.

Le Marais
Apartment was clean and convienint. Lots of shopping and food. The metro Hotel De Ville is half block. As in the other reviews no open windows. The apartment can get warm even in March. Apartment has great kitchen and nice comfortable bed. The only draw back for me was the schoolyard a few buildings down. This has nothing to do with the apartment it was great. But there are children screaming in the school yard for many hours of the day. From late morning till late afternoon . Paris is beautiful so much to see and do. I’m sure you won’t be in the apartment much daytimes. The review I am giving is positive for the apartment. The school children were the only drawback for me

Charming and modern in a historic building
This apartment suited us very well for a few days stay in Paris and is very well located. The internal courtyard creates a quiet area from the bustling vibrant neighbourhood. The location is fabulous, surrounded by restaurants and a walk to Notre Dame and 5 minutes from Hotel de Ville metro, with easy access for a trip to Versailles and for our departure from Paris. The apartment has been renovated and well furnished, very clean and a comfortable space for a couple. The courtyard table and chairs could be replaced as they are old but have lost their charm. Amenities worked well, and the washing machine/dryer was excellent as we were on the road and in hotels prior. We ate out for the duration of our stay but the kitchen was modern with good utensils if we had opted to cook. The booking process and communication was efficient and check-in with Gregory worked smoothly. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this property.

It was just ok
Overall the apartment was nice and in good location. The hosts were good to let us drop off our bags early. The courtyard was nice - table and chairs could use replacing. It was very hot in Paris during our stay and there is no air conditioning and only one small window that opened. It was quite warm to sleep. The kitchen had dishes, cutlery and pans but no other supplies for cooking - often rentals have seasonings and oil available. Maybe this is because there are so many good restaurants in Paris however we were looking to do more cooking but didn't want to buy all of the basic needs so only made breakfast. Overall everything was ok, just a few small things that could have made it better.

Fabulous location. Clean. Quiet with easy access to all of Paris
Our train was delayed but Agnes waited for us - she was great - pleasant, professional, answered all our questions. The apartment is just like the pictures - clean, bright, nice decor - and located just a block to the Metro 1 line, Georges Pompidou, Hotel de Ville, restaurants...
Two things to be aware of... the apartment was warm even in September and we felt the need to leave the door open when we were home to cool it off for sleeping (the bed is in an upper loft). This was not really a problem as we were in a quiet courtyard but I think in the summer it would be helpful to have a fan. Perhaps even installing a ceiling fan?
The other is that you must bring your own basic toiletries (soap, etc) unless you want to buy them from them.
The location could not have been better and Julian and Agnes were marvellous to deal with. (We had an issue with our Paris cell service when we got locked out but Agnes was at our place as soon as she got the message and her response was much appreciated!)
We highly recommend this apartment and the team of people who took care of us.
