Cute boutique hotel enclosed with in the Passage Jouffroy making it very safe. Loved the shops & eatery there. Hotel was very clean & staff was very friendly & helpful.

Love this little Gem!

This is a lovely little hotel in one of the historic Paris passages. It is wonderfully located for all the major attractions of Paris. The hotel is comfortable and kept very clean. The staff were all unfailingly cordial and helpful - especially when my misplaced glasses needed to be shipped home to me. Oh, and Clarinette the hotel cat kept us all in line!

We were grateful for the staff in accommodating our luggage before and after check in/out.steps away from metro station . Hotel was in a passage, so very quiet and safe, overall a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay there should be be travelling to Paris again.

This was a great historic hotel and such a fun area to be in. Steps away from the metro which we took daily. Breakfast was perfect and the staff was fantastic.

Loved the old style charm of the hotel and our windows opened to a nice view of Paris rooftops. Basic room but had everything we needed. Front desk supplied hairdryer and kettle on request. Our room had a fridge which was a bonus. Easy area to walk and Metro very close by. Only issue are the stairs from the front desk are a bit tricky with luggage and the lift is very small. Loads of places to eat - would definately stay again!

Great stay

It was great journey for us. They helped us for everything. Passage was very good and metro was too close to hotel. All famous streets are very close to hotel, you can walk everywhere.If i will go to Paris again, I will prefer same hotel to stay.

Awesome location

We were able to walk to most places. Very central. One night we heard the neighbours, but apart from that it was fine. The shower was a hand held one.

Situated in a lovey quiet alleyway. Quaint shops and good restaurants all around. Good breakfast but very small space for breakfast. Staff friendly and helped with luggage. Front desk should have explained about after hour closing of the alleyway. Got stuck outside and had hard time getting back to the Hotel. A bit scary, especially when your tired after a long day. Otherwise nice Hotel.

This hotel opened in 1846 and it is in great shape in a true Parisian neighborhood in the center of a passage of shops and cafes. My room had bedroom and bathroom windows that opened to the roof tops of Paris and the glass roof of the Passage Jouffroy that glowed pink at night; such a great view! I didn't pay for hotel breakfast as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants outside the door and in the neighborhood offering a variety of cultures of food. Close to bus lines or 20 minute walk to Gare du Nord central train station. I am older solo female and felt safe in hotel neighborhood but always careful around any central train station for pick pockets, etc

Although the receptionist explained that the hotel would be locked after 21.30, she didn’t make it clear that there was no direct access at all. There needs to be a small card or guide which is issued to every guest as they arrive which explains that, after 21.30 the whole boulevard is chained and locked and that you have to walk right around the block to find the entry gate and even then you have to press the buzzer and wait for access. Finding yourself locked out of your hotel is not what you need after a long and tiring day!

Great neighborhood, quaint historic hotel

The Hotel Chopin is a charming, historic hotel at the end of an indoor passage full of shops and a restaurant. The location is GREAT for exploring Paris on foot, taking the metro, etc. The neighborhood around the hotel is full of shops, cafes, and amazing restaurants. There is always a lot of activity near by. We loved the area, and we always felt very safe there (especially since the passageway is gated & locked at night, and you have to be buzzed in). The room itself was TINY, and very hot (we were on the top floor). There is no AC (it's an old building!) and we were there during a heat wave. We requested 2 twin beds since we were friends (not a couple) traveling together. However, the room is so small, the beds were pushed together so it was like one bed. This may be uncomfortable for some. The bathroom did not have a shower. Just a tub, with a moveable spray handle for washing hair. It was not possible to shower standing up due to the length of the sprayer and the slanted roof. We made this work (for 14 nights!). But I can see how this would be challenging for some. Again, this is a historic hotel. There is a tiny lift (elevator), but you have to access it by stairs first. If you are on the 4th floor, there will be some more stairs after the lift. Consider this if you have mobility issues. It worked for us, and was only a little challenging at check in/check out when we had to haul all our luggage up and down some stairs. The staff is helpful and kind.

Staff were lovely. The hotel was charming. The room was quite nice and the bed was bigger and more comfortable than we had expected. The only point I would make is that it was too warm in the hotel. Being in the passage way was neat and we felt very safe.

Fantastic hotel, we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming again. Really lovely staff, and the room was comfy and warm. Great location also. Near to lots of shopping and dining options, and metro really nearby.
