The staff were so nice, especially the manager! Great location. Fortunately we were on the back of the building where it was quiet. Great bars and bakeries and restaurants and just a quick walk to la Bastille. I will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel! Lovely neighborhood with nearby restaurants, boulangeries, bars, pharmacy and public transportation. Staff was very helpful and friendly (hola, Jimmy!). Yes- it was noisy one night due to the bars downstairs- but nothing unbearable. Great spot to stay in!

The location of this hotel is great - near two metro stops and in a lively neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, bars, bakeries, etc. Because of the liveliness, the street is LOUD and this sound carries into the rooms facing it (on rue Daval).

Hotel Daval is excellently priced for the convenience and location. It's a bit cozy, and the elevator is basically for one person at a time. The simple breakfast buffet is worth it, and the location, in a lively neighborhood near transportation and numerous restaurants and eateries, is fantastic.

El Hotel Daval fue recientemente remodelado, sin que esto haya alterado su carácter hospitalario, y con una excelente ubicación. Es un pequeño hotel, sin los agobios de los grandes hoteles de excursiones masivas. Es familiar, acogedor y con un personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar y orientar al huésped. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Con una ubicación envidiable, puedes viajar ligero porque alrededor hay tiendas, pequeños supermercados y esta al lado de Faubourg Saint Antoine, con tiendas de ropa, accesorios, etc. Sobran los restaurantes de todo tipo y en la avenida Richard Lenoir se instala dos veces por semana un mercadillo fabuloso

The room size was good and it was clean but it is definitely a 3 star hotel. There is a breakfast but it is not posted there is a fee. We were told there is a continental breakfast, which we thought was included only to be charged 10 euros per day upon our departure. No mention of a fee before that, On the last night we were there, I asked if they happen to have any ice, which I needed for a swollen knee and they said no and gave me a lecture on American's always asking for ice for their drinks. I am Canadian. The location is the selling feature. Lots of bakeries, restaurants and even a techno music street parade 2 blocks from the restaurant. We walked to all of the local tourist sites from here and the metro is located with 2-3 blocks in either direction. I would stay here again because it is clean and in a great location, knowing there are no amenities and not to eat breakfast as there are lots of amazing bakeries within 1-3 blocks of the hotel that offer fresh baked goods and coffee for less then 10 euros.
