This property is in a fantastic location minutes walk to the République square vibrant in activity and restaurants. Also a few minutes walk away is the Canal St. Martin where large numbers of people happily and politely sit by its banks playing games or enjoying a pizza and bottle of vino. Metros are also very close with Republique a major hub.

We travelled with friends and we each had a room on the 5th floor of Albert House. Rooms were smaller than expected (especially the toilet area). We couldn’t stand up from the toilet without opening the separate WC door. Very small and we are not big people. The bed in room 504 was very comfortable. We enjoyed a good sleep each of the four nights we were there. Room 504 was significantly bigger than 502. Breakfast was good — not a huge selection but it was certainly sufficient for us to have some choices on the different mornings we were there. We loved the coffee machine. The breakfast attendant was pleasant and efficient too. It was convenient that the breakfast room was on the first floor of Albert House. The location was fine for us as our focus was to explore the 11 arrondissement and the Marais. Could be a better hotel if more care was taken to make the place look well maintained and care for.

This hotel was recently purchased. I stay at the Hotel Gabriel every time I go to Paris. It was quaint, great staff, really nice rooms with balconies, good price, great breakfast and a wine bar. The new owners, New Hotel Republique have ruined it. The staff is not friendly OR helpful and my room (a premium room) was dark face a wall and I had to go across the street for breakfast at the sister hotel. DO NOT STAY THERE!

Hotel limpo, organizado.
