Very helpful Staff, really wonderful people which made our stay so enjoyable. When we had a cancelled uber the concierge was incredibly helpful and patient assisting us in making our train. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others wishing to stay on the left bank of paris.
Loved the neighborhood. Although the room was small, I know it’s quite common for Europe and it was perfect for us. The mattress was very comfortable and the elevator was a perk.
This was our second time staying here! We love it’s so close to the metro, Montparnasse and not in a super touristy area. The staff is so kind and really helpful. We love staying here!
Hotel staff were amazing and went above and beyond! They helped us with navigation, gave us a keyboard and helped us post a post card! The area was very safe and we (two girls) felt comfortable walking around! There is a supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants all around the hotel. We appreciated the 24/7 staffing of the hotel and its perfect location in regards to many metros. The Eiffel Tower is about 30 mins by metro and walking, we found it helpful to use “citymapper” (app). The room was small but clean and perfect for what we needed. We would highly recommend and consider this location great value. There are many coffee shops local that, we found, did cheaper yet better coffee than other places in Paris.
I stayed with my family, we had a very good night, the apartment very clean, safe and quiet.

Excellent area, and functional stay for an overnight business trip. The room is small and breakfast simple, but for one night's stay it is ideal. Clean and convenient

Decent location. Good for walking to attractions. Room is basic with a small shower but does the job for a few nights. You have to hand your key in when you leave the hotel every time which we thought was weird but seemed to be fine. Beds were very squeaky ! Would recommend this hotel.

This place felt a little far from things, very quiet at night. The bathrooms are little outdated.
Other than that they were clean and the staff downstairs were friendly and helpful.

Very clean, nice decor cute room, good breakfast. Very small room, bathroom needed repair, rusty base on shower. Check in 2pm, flight arrived at 6.30 a.m. Would not let us check in even five minutes before, seemed unreasonable.
I recently stayed at this charming Parisian hotel and had a wonderful experience. If you’re visiting Paris, this hotel is an excellent choice due to its fantastic location, delicious breakfast, and exceptionally friendly staff.
From arrival, the staff made us feel at home with their warm hospitality, offering helpful recommendations and engaging in friendly conversation. The location is ideal, with excellent restaurants just steps away and metro stations nearby for easy city exploration.
A highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which at just 14 euros, offers great value with fresh pastries, quality coffee, and other staples—perfect for starting a day of sightseeing.
Parisian hotels often have smaller rooms, and this one is no exception, reflecting the city's typical compact design. However, this is standard and shouldn’t detract from the overall experience. Our room was cozy, well-appointed, and comfortable.
In summary, this hotel provides a superb location, a great breakfast at a reasonable price, and exceptional staff. Embrace the Parisian charm of compact accommodations for a delightful stay.
A great place to stay. Excellent location, easy to get everywhere. The buffet breakfast was a nice treat; better than other places' continental breakfasts. The dining area/lobby is cozy and personable. The cleanliness was just average. They could do a better job wiping the doorknobs and light switches and walls... crusty smears all about, and a knob in the shower was broken so I couldn't stably position the sprayer, but whatever, It was overall generally clean, really nice stone tile in the bathroom, the room was nice, the bed was cozy, room had a hip feeling, good decor, and the best part, which you cannot get in Paris almost anywhere for the price - is AIR CONDITIONING! YES! That was a life saver in the heat. Room also had a fridge and a safe, AND an electric kettle, which none of the other Paris hotels I stayed in had for that price. Thank you for a lovely 3-day stay. Definitely recommend.
I do feel that, perhaps 6-10 years ago this was a three star hotel. However, management had not maintained the property in the manner one would expect of a 3 star hotel. Is very much closer to a 2 star at this point. Lots of dust, some mold, an overwhelming mildew smell that, once I opened the window over night, thankfully dissipated. The staff was very kind, and expressed concern when I informed them of my mildew allergy. I did not take off my socks in the room, if that’s an indicator of anything. Definitely not a place to stay unless you plan to only sleep there. I did not partake of the breakfast buffet, however the minifridge worked fine. Several issues of condition vis a vis wear and tear to the built-ins to the room. Again, something one expects in a two-star, but less so from a three star. The carpeting in the halls is stained and dingy, and the elevator has seen better days long ago.
The bed linens were clean. The room though had layers of dust on some surfaces, including dirtied buttons on the phone and television remote. Disappointing overall.
Booked a three-night stay which seemingly required an apartment room. Having read reviews we were happy it was a good choice for Paris on a busy weekend. On arrival however, we were very disappointed to find 'the apartment' wasn't within the hotel (whose entrance and lobby was as per the photos) but two doors down the street, in what is literally a crumbling unkept residential building. The entrance was dark, gloomy and untidy with cracked, peeling paint, exposed gas and water pipes, no lift up to the apartment and just generally felt unsafe as well as unpleasant. We complained to the front desk and were told they were fully booked. I have since contacted the hotel directly but they have not even bothered to respond hence am now posting my review.
I believe this is my third time staying at Hotel Mayet. The hotel location is great when visiting Paris as it is just steps away from the Duroc metro station and walking distance to quite a few sites like the Luxembourg Gardens, Rodin Museum (15 minute walk) and more. However, the metro system in Paris is quick, easy, affordable, and convenient so I recommend maximizing your time using the metro to visit all the sites. We even used the metro to get to the Invalides station where we picked up the RER to Versailles for a fun day trip.
Around the hotel are lovely cafes and restuarants. There is a laundry mat on the left across the street and a small grocery store on the street to the right of the hotel along with a bank, boulangerie, and other great shops.
The rooms are small but comfortable and functional. The elevator is big enough for sending your luggage up to your floor while you take the spiral staircase up to meet your bags. The 24 hour front desk is very convenient for late arrivals, which we were very grateful for since our flight from Florence arrived in Paris at 10:00pm.
There is a breakfast offered for an additional cost and it looked delicious but we were just grabbing a quick croissant and latte at the boulangerie on the corner before heading out to our adventure for the day.
This place and staff is absolutely terrible. I accidentally booked a room for 2 instead of 3 and they denied us staying there for “security reasons”. I asked if they offered cots for us to even just stay there for 1 night and they said no. It was also 8 pm when we arrived so we had to sit there and find another hotel to stay at with absolutely no assistance from Hotel Mayet. They also do not offer refunds so we are now fighting with them and the bank to get our 600 dollars back. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
