Great space - needs some maintenance

We’ve stayed at this property previously. The space is fantastic for a larger group. We did notice this time that the property could use some maintenance. Nothing that impacts your enjoyment of the property but there are broken tiles and lots of drywall marks that detract from the overall appearance.

Great stay in Paso

My family was here for my daughter's wedding and stayed a few extra days to wine taste. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 7. I loved waking up and having coffee on the front patio overlooking the valley. Great location for exploring Paso. We'd definitely come back.

Five stars BUT a few improvements needed

The property is huge and has a great view! We did enjoy our time! However, there are a few improvements needed: beds can be more comfortable (can feel the springs in the mattress when laying down); outlets are loose so charging phones are difficult; there are no lighting outside so if you get to the property at night, it is a little difficult.

Spanish Hideaway

It was a very nice big house, lots of Spanish charm, huge dining table & living room. Family room off kitchen was large for tv time. Master bedroom was very roomy with a tv, large closet & shelves to unpack. The other 3 guest rooms had to share 1 bathroom with double sinks. Think that would be difficult for sharing with 3 bedrooms. All 3 had no tvs or dressers to unpack if you’re staying for a week. There was a powder room off the kitchen. A propane fire pit outside would be a nice touch but the yard needs maintenance. Whoever owned the property previously had grape vines & they weren’t maintained in the front or back.

Enjoyable but Disappointing

Great to be with family. Quiet location with lovely view. Overall maintenance of property not good. Cleanliness below standard. Would not rent again unless major changes made to maintenance and cleanliness. Poorly maintained and no routine check of property if not rented. Sub Zero refrigerator not operating.

Unbelievably beautiful and quiet

Approaching the home sitting up on an elevated area you see a beautifully big home! The view from the home is simply incredible, the green hills, vineyards and of course the sunset. You are a good ten plus minutes from stores but well worth the drive, enjoying no sound of cars, or neighbors is a plus. The home was extremely big and open! With high ceilings. Big kitchen, living room and tv room gave us a feeling that we could spread out and not be on top of each other. Kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of towels and rooms had plenty of pillows and clean. Nobody complained about any of the beds! We did not get the opportunity to hang out in the front or back patio due rain but on the morning of travel we all said when we come back we would take advantage of spacious area. Definitely coming back and probably for a few more days!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Four adult men rented this house, which gave each of us separate bedrooms. And there was plenty of living space to hang with each other. The location suited us very well, too. But, there was room for improvement...On our second night (of 4), one of us in a front-facing room was awakened around 1am by large, loud machinery (he initially thought it was a wood chipper) with bright-as-day lights shining directly into his room. An inquiry to the rental company later in the morning yielded no response. At dawn, I investigated the machine which was still on property, but not moving for some time and with its lights still on. It was a grape harvesting machine (made by Gregoire) with the driver sleeping in the cab, and a helper sleeping behind the cab. We all were disturbed that this could happen without any notice, particularly that room's occupant.Around 7:30 the same morning, a quad came on site and started working around the vines up the hill from the house. Again, no notice provided. We are not vintners, and we think this work could have been done during the day. In any case, the occupants should be notified of any intrusion onto the property they are renting.Less important but noteworthy: the WiFi is intermittent according to my more tech-savvy friends; improvement highly desirable.

We chose Solitude 1 and couldn't be happier. It was clean and nicely decorated. Check in and check out was easy. Linens, pillows, and towels were comfortable. The home is older but doesn't take away from the charm. Our children loved the yard space,vines, bunnies, and spring time birds. We look forward to coming back. It's close enough to wineries and TJ's. Very nicely done property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Choose this property specifically for the location as it is just down the road from my daughter. We needed a house with a large kitchen and multiple rooms. The half bath came in handy. We would have loved to have been able to sit out front and enjoyed the fountain along with the vineyard view. It must be down for repairs. There were a couple of items that did not work properly but they did not interrupt our stay. There is a nice winery less than 3 miles down the road that I suggest you give a try.

Great Family reunion

The home was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 3 toddlers. We had plenty of room to stretch out inside and out. Not very updated but very nice feeling about it. We loved our stay.
