“It's truly a boutique hotel, personally owned by one man since 2005. It took him 2 years to renovate a neglected 19th century stable and create a luxurious retreat. The hotel only has 8 rooms (making it the smallest 5-star hotel in France), and it's open during Biarritz' high season, only 4 months. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are tastefully decorated in a blend of modern and period furnishings. “The stay was wonderful! I had a very uncomfortable experience while checking out. I stayed here for a week. When I checked out, I sat outside at the restaurant to get some drinks while I wait for my car to arrive which was like 30-40 mins later. The server there brought me the check right after I ordered first round of drinks with my girlfriend and prompted me to leave early. My stay was wonderful but I’m deeply disappointed by this discrimination at the restaurant. I wanted to let the……

“The only reason I stayed was because I had a 6:45am flight to catch and the hotel is a 5 minute walk to Biarritz airport. It is a motel next to the highway and their electronics door keys did not work for me and another customer who checked in. Minimal amenities and a bit noisy as next to the highway. Room is small and bed not too comfortable. Asked for 5am morning call they said ok but ended up no one called. The only thing I like was the dinner at their restaurant which was surprisingly……

“Hotel is pretty run down, paint peeling, dirty carpet, a ton of things are cracked. Rooms and bathroom are small and there is no elevator. The air conditioning worked but makes a very strange noise that never stops. If you want something cheap thats walkable to a lot of things, this place is fine but more 2-star than 3 star.”
