“Room was dingy had and odor in the hallway.for the price and a 1 night stay it was ok”

“Overall, it was a nice stay. The hotel is beautiful and the suite was clean, comfortable, and lovely. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was super comfortable. I gave four stars on a few things because the whirlpool tub took several tries to get working and spots needed better cleaned. But outside that tub, everything else was really nice.”

“Located in downtown Dubuque Iowa, this is one of the classic hotels that has been a mainstay of the city for decades. It is convenient to many of the restaurants in the business district. There is convenient, free parking adjacent to the hotel with two restaurants Caroline's and the Riverboat in the same building. The Aquarium and Museum are only footsteps away! The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are up to date. Artwork is in both the rooms and the hallways. Overall, the hotel is……

“Excellent staff, great service response.”

“I stayed for three nights. Was here for work I’m a nurse. I asked on check in what time was check out they said 11 am. I asked if they had a late check out ( I work overnight) they said noon. I came this morning and checked in with the attendant to ensure I had late check out. I put the do not disturb sign on and went to sleep. At 10 am there was a man who was knocking and then trying to open the door. I said I have late check out .. then one hour the same thing. So I got up and dressed took……

“A full selection of items were served for breakfast such as eggs, sausages, cinammon rolls, fruit, pancakes, etc.”

“The staff were very nice. Breakfast was fabulous. Place well kept.”

“The beds really weren’t that comfortable and the fire alarm started going off at 8am when a kid pulled the alarm and the staff couldn’t figure out how to get it shut off right according to The front desk. The shower head leaked bad causing horrible water pressure”

“We had an amazing stay at Mont Rest! Hearing the history from Chris (the owner) was an added treat! So crazy to see how she saved the property not once, but twice! The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was incredible. I loved that there wasn't a huge push to get people checked out. Our room was lovely and well appointed! We cannot wait to schedule another long weekend in Bellevue!”

“The beds were very comfortable, but unfortunately the room had a strong musty, mold-like smell. By morning, the carpet near the air conditioner was even wet, which may have been contributing to the odor. The room itself appeared clean, but the dingy walls and persistent musty smell made it feel less clean than it actually was. The staff was friendly and courteous, though they appeared to be short-staffed. We waited quite a while at the front desk before someone was available to check us……
