Superb host! Giuseppe great communicator, speaks excellent English, went above and beyond driving us through town to help orient us (highlights, public transportation). He checked on us regularly, responded promptly to questions. Apartment has nice features which he updates. He recommends “gold club” businesses with proven quality and provide guest discounts. Law doesn’t allow him to provide toiletries, laundry soap so come prepared.

Giuseppe couldn't have been a more helpful host from the checkin, the introduction to the apartment, to offering recommendations for shopping, sightseeing, and dining. His enthusiasm for Perugia, Umbria, and his Villa were evident in every conversation. The apartment was perfect with fully equipped bath and kitchen. Perugia is ideal homebase for visiting the incredible hilltowns. One week was not enough to see everything there is to see in this area. We recommend the listing highly especially for English-speaking tourists since Giuseppe is fluent and helpful in every way.

Splendid Villa Nuba

We had a wonderful time at Villa Nova. The grounds were wonderful with a pool and a barbecue, many flowers and fresh herbs if you wish to cook. Giuseppe is a fabulous host and extremely helpful. He has a Villa Nuba gold card which gets you discounts at restaurants, tours, shopping and other things. All of the restaurants he recommended were fabulous. If you plan on going to Perugia I would 100% recommend staying at Villa Nuba!

This is a good option for someone wanting a 'villa experience' without the need for a car to get around. The old town is a walkable distance (some sections are uphill), or there are a couple if bus options nearby that will take you to the main bus and train stations, or, in some cases, to neighbouring towns. We stayed in the 2bed 2bath apartment which is on the ground floor of the villa & found it was spacious enough for 4 adults baby. The kitchen is small but is well equipped, bedrooms are a good size and the 2 bathrooms work fine, although one is very tight. The host Guiseppe was very helpful and always responsive.

Country Feel Just Outside the Walls of Perugia

Four of us traveled to Umbria for a month of exploring, wine tasting and eating pasta & gelato. This property was the perfect base for exploring this beautiful area of Umbria. The lovely old town of Perugia was easily accessible either by driving then parking and walking or by taking a bus from very near the apartment. In addition there was easy access to the main road for exploring other towns in Umbria. Assisi, Lake Trasimeno, Gubbio, Citta di Castello, Montone and Spello were all within a 45 minute drive. The apartment was comfortable with nice beds and 2 full bathrooms making it easy for 2 couples to share. the kitchen was small but equipped well enough to allow us to cook for ourselves if we got tired of going out to eat. Our host, Guisseppi, was infinitely helpful with recommendations for shopping, eating and exploring the area. His ability to speak English was a great help in making us feel comfortable and oriented in this less touristy piece of Italy.

Wonderful break

We had a very enjoyable vacation at Villa Nuba. The host, Giuseppe was very helpful and informative. There are great restaurants in the tiwn which Giuseppe will recommend. There are beautiful villages nearby to visit. Our apartment was lovely with a wonderful pool area in the grounds. All in all, I highly recommend a visit

Our host Guiseppe was attentive and engaging. Although we didn’t access the pool, we accessed the area and as every pool area with foliage and droppings would have benefitted from a twice daily cleaning. The weather in late September was magnificent. The area is green and very hilly, but so Italian with its green abundance of foods and wines.We loved the older traditional furnishings, clean sheets, towels and hot water. Our accommodations suited our purpose of exploring the architecture and art provided in Perugia, which did not disappoint.Please be warned that the distance to the city of Perugia from Villa Nuba is not for the faint of heart. It is quite a climb, first by an unsafe winding road and then by multiple steep steps to reach the city on top.However, taxis are readily available.Thank you Guiseppe and staff for a delightful vacation.

My wife and I stayed at the Perugino apartment at the Villa Nuba for 10 days in April 2007. We were met by Giuseppe, the owner, and from this moment we knew that we were in for a very special holiday. He is a most delightful host who genuinely cares that his guests have a good holiday. His local knowledge saved us a considerable amount of time in searching out where to go and what to see. Nothing was any trouble and the short drive round the immediate area on arrival was certainly unique in our experience! The apartment was found to be beautifully appointed and well furnished. The “personal touches” were evident with fresh flowers from the garden, a small library of books in English and a welcome basket of food and drink. During our stay, we met members of the family as they went about their daily lives and this helped us to feel part of the Italian culture and way of life. We have travelled extensively in Italy and this is by far the friendliest part of the country, and one of the most beautiful. Would we go back? Certainly YES!

Fabulous stay

We had an enjoyable stay at Villa Nuba. Guiseppe was available from the initial booking until check out, with lots of recommendations of places to visit and eat. The accommodation had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay and the salt water swimming pool was perfect for a dip throughout the day.

Charming villa in Perugia

Very nice place with a fantastic swimmingpool in walking distance to the city center but in a quiet location. Table tennis and barbecue in the garden and nice terrasses. Welcoming and helpful host. We had a very nice family holiday at Villa Nuba.

Lovely spot; very friendly service

Villa Nuba is picturesque, comfortable, and very relaxing. Giuseppe is an outstanding host -- very thoughtful and right nearby should he be needed. His suggestions with regard to nearby restaurants were particularly helpful. We found the beds to be very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with all of the equipment we needed, and. the grounds around the Villa neatly kept and very beautiful. The view of the surrounding countryside from the deck beside the pool was stunning. Villa Nuba is a wonderful and very reasonably priced place to stay in the Perugia area.

Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt im App. Perugino (EG), dieses war optimal kühl bei bis zu 35 Grad aussen und der gut gepflegte Pool hat zur Entspannung und Abkühlung beigetragen. Erwähnenswert ist auch Giuseppe als sehr herzlicher und umsorgender Gastgeber... jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen!

We had a great 5 days in Umbria staying at this property despite the weather not being great. The setting is nice and quiet with views over the hillside towards Perugia. It was great to be met by an enthusiastic Giuseppe who went out of his way to show us the local area and suggest places to visit and eat. There was a basket of goodies for our first evening meal which was very welcome. The home is well equipped.

Best Host in Umbria - Our Six Months at Villa Nuba

Booked a two-bedroom unit at Villa Nuba from May 1 to October 31, 2018. One month to go. The Villa Nuba location is perfect for our needs: close to Perugia's city center; quiet location; security gate; parking; swimming pool, beautiful units. We use our unit as a base to travel throughout all of Italy. The best part of the stay is our host, Giuseppe Nuzzaci. He is an amazing host who helps get you settled and oriented to all the city has to offer. He has resources all over Perugia to get things done for his guests. He speaks English and French and has spent countless hours helping us navigate the Italian bureaucracy for my wife's residency card. Giuseppe has made our stay truly worthwhile and very memorable. We recommend Villa Nuba without hesitation!

Nice vacation @Villa Nuba

We had a very nice vacation at Villa Nuba on May. Giuseppe gave us very thorough introduction not only to the house but also to the neighborhood. That was very helpful and gave us a nice start. Giuseppe also gives very good tips about the sights nearby, and there were plenty of brochures at the villa. We didn't use the outside grill, but enjoyed the pool very much! Nice house, beautiful neighborhood and very friendly and helpful host! Highly recommended!

Comfortable apartment with great host on edge of fascinating city

Villa Nuba has everything you need for a comfortable holiday plus a few extras, such as a jacuzzi bath, great views, a lovely pool area and a host, who really looks out for his guests. The apartment was beautifully clean and well equipped. Perugia is a fascinating city, full of history and culture, as well as having excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. Guiseppe is happy to recommend places to eat and we certainly enjoyed excellent food and ice-cream everywhere that he suggested. Whilst you do not need a car to stay at Villa Nuba and explore Perugia, it is worth having one if you wish to visit the surrounding countryside and other nearby towns.

Excellent place to relax and to explore Perugia an

My sister and I have travelled in Italy during 10 years. We tend to be quite critical when choosing the accommodation – that is a part of the fun. This year we chose Villa Nuba (apartment del Perugino) after going through about 100 apartments in the internet. And that really was worth it! We found a cozy and spotless clean apartment with a spacious living-room, nicely equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and two very nice bedrooms, with excellent mattresses and stars painted on the ceiling. We even found a basket filled with products for the first breakfast and meal, including wine. We enjoyed the fireplace and the candles, ate self-made dinners both in the living room as well as in our private patio, swam in the pool, enjoyed the fantastic view from the pool - and just relaxed. Giuseppe was an excellent host! During the first evening he provided us a tour around the city of Perugia showing us all the important places to visit. After the tour he marked the main spots of the city and surrounding Umbria in our map. We had rented a car and with Giuseppe’s hints it was very easy to find the best towns, villages, restaurants etc. during our 1 week stay. The location of Villa Nuba is great: short distance to walk to the city of Perugia and to drive to other cities. However, the car is not a necessity while bus stops are very near and it is even possible to walk to the railway station. We saw and experienced a lot. A lot is still to be seen. We have now been at home for 2 weeks and have already made a reservation for next August.

Hidden pearl in Perugia

Villa Nuba provides you with the opportunity to live the Italian way of living with the well equipped flats and the beautiful surroundings. It's location is very convient as it is walking distance to the city center and if you want to visit attractions you don't have to drive far in Umbrien. The service provided from the owner of Villa Nuba is extremely high and beyond expectations: forexample the owner took us for a drive in the city the first day, so that we knew where to go afterwards for shopping, sightseeing and buy the best Italian icecreame.

Convenience of a city, features of country villa

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had selected an exceptional property. It combines the advantages of a country-like ambience with a great location near the old city. Be sure to follow Giuseppe's detailed instructions for getting to the exact address, not your GPS, for the last mile or so. Giuseppe was a marvelous host, willing and able to help find the best places to visit, dine, and shop for groceries. A great location, especially If looking for a place within walking distance of the city, close to grocery stores and restaurants, and convenient for exploring Umbria and Tuscany. Thanks Giuseppe, you were a wonderful host. Without your help on the last day, we would never have been able to return our rental car and make it to the train on time. This is an exceptional property. Highly recommended!
